hi,
I am studying in 12th Commerce.
But after my 12th I want to do computer
related courses....I like to do BCA or B.Sc IT....
Kindly tell me I am eligible as I am a commerce student....

You are now in 12th commerce so you are eligible for BCA course.

BCA stands for Bachelor's of Computer Application.

The candidate should have completed 12th in any stream preferably Science stream with at least 50% marks with Mathematics as one of the subject of studies from a recognized Board.

Your age shouldn't be bellow 17 years.

Yes you are absolutely eligible for BCA , I am also a BCA student from commerce
But you are not eligible for BSC(IT) because in BSC , you must study physics and maths
It is a 3years course and more valuable than BSC in computer ,
Now go for BCA , you will definitely make a good carrier in BCA

The eligibility criteria is given as below:::>>>

Candidate must have passed secondary education with at least 45 percent marks.

The candidate must be at least 17 year old.

The upper age limit is 30 year.

There is some age relaxation for Sc/St students.

Also you must have passed your 12th class from a recognized institute.

Since BCA and BSc (IT) has no such strict restrictions related to the subjects of the candidate in 12th standard.

Students from any stream in their higher secondary can pursue both the courses you want to get admitted in.

The one and the only eligibility criteria is the candidate should have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized board.

You can join BCA after finishing 12th with commerce without computer application subject.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR BCA:

--> Candidate have to complete 10+2 examination in any discipline.

--> Candidate have to score at least 50% in 10+2.

--> No age limit to appear for BCA entrance examination.

To get admission in BCA course you have to appear in All Indian BCA entrance examination conducted every year in the month of April.

Based on that performance you can choose the college study BCA.

Yes friend you are eligible but only for the BCA . you are not eligible for the BSC . ONly those students take the admission on the BSC who complete their 12 on the steam of science.
But as you mention above that you are doing your 12th on the commerce steam. So , you can apply for the BCA. Its a gud scope and wide range of getting a gud job on this steam. Best of luck for your future. !!!!
