Sir/Madam, I have completed my 12th with Science stream but I have secured 50% only. I want to join Defence Service. I am interested in Indian Air Force. Can you help me about to join Indian Air Force? Also I want to know about the requirements for this.

Having completed your Class 12th with Science with 50% marks, you are eligible to join Indian Air force as an officer as well as an airmen.

To join as an officer, you need to qualify NDA entrance examination and to appear in the same examination, you must hold following qualifications :-

* You must be an unmarried Indian male candidate.

* Your age must lie within 16.5 years to 19.5 years.

* You must have completed your Class 12th in any discipline from a recognised board of education. But, to join Indian Navy and Indian Airforce, you need to have pursued Mathematics and Physics at your Class 12th level.

* You must hold the physical fitness as per the service requirement norms.

While for joining as an airman, you need to qualify its recruitment examination and to apply for the same recruitment you must have following qualifications :-

* You must be an unmarried Indian male candidate.

* Your age must lie within 17 years to 21 years.

* You must have completed your Class 12th in any discipline with at least 50% marks overall from a recognised board. For joining X group, you must have pursued Mathematics and Physics at your Class 12th level.

* You must hold the physical fitness as per the service requirement norms.
