There is a mismatch in my name between Aadhar and school records. It is A ASHKAR in Aadhar and JEE application but it is ASHKAR A in my school records. Is there any problem with that during the counseling or admission process? If yes, then please let me know how to correct name on Aadhar?

Please find below steps to update the name in Aadhaar.

Step 1:- First, you have to visit the Aadhaar Enrolment/Update Centre.

Step 2:- Then, you have to fill the Aadhaar Update Form and enter your current mobile number in the form.

Step 3:- Next, Your request will be registered by the executive at the Aadhaar Enrolment/Update center.

Step 4:- Next, you will receive an acknowledgment slip containing the URN.

Step 5:- You will have to pay a fee of Rs. 50 for availing of this service.

If you want to get correction in aadhar card than you can visit at nearest CSC ( Common Service Centre ) along with 10th schools records and with registered mobile number for OTP.

CSC will help you in getting the correction done.

If you want to change the name in Aadhaar card in the traditional way you can visit an enrolment center.

To make corrections to the name or any other detail on the Aadhar card you need to visit the UIDAI website https://uidai.gov.in/ and click on "Update Demographic Data Online" under 'My Aadhar' tab. A new tab will get open then click on 'Proceed to Update Aadhar' enter your aadhar details and captcha code, click on OTP. A one-time password will be sent to your registered mobile number through SMS which is valid for ten minutes, thereafter click on "Update Demographic Data" and select the options which you want to update/change. You need to upload the required documents as well, once the documents are uploaded and correct details are entered you will be redirected to make the payment. After making the payment an update request number (URN)will be generated. You can then download the acknowledgment copy from the website.

For correction in aadhar card you need to go to adhard card center like any post office or any other center where they provide this facility.
Get correction form from there any fill the form and submit required documents with them like your birth certificate, marksheet, rashancard etc. Attested with gazetted office. Than submit there.
Update will come to your mobile number which you filled.
