I am interested to appear in RIMC Entrance Exam of 2019 for 9th standard admission. But I don’t know about the pattern of 2019 RIMC Entrance Exam. I would like to know about the pattern of this entrance exam so that I can get admission in 8th standard.

RIMC stands for Rashtriya Samithi Military College, Entrance exam conducted twice in a year all india basis.
This is for admission in to The Rashtriya Samithi Military College (dehradun)for boys admitted in to 8th class
Eligibility is 7th class pass and age between 11.5 to 13 years.
Written test consists of 3 sections
1. English - 125 Marks
2. Mathematics - 200 Marks
3. General Knowledge - 75 Marks
Viva voce of 50 marks will be conducted once passes in written exam with 50 % marks

The pattern of Rashtriya Indian Military College(RIMC) Entrance Exam 2019 is:-

Mathematics - 200 Marks
English - 125 Marks
General Knowledge GK - 75 Marks
Interview - 50 Marks
Language - English, Hindi

The interview will be held for only those candidates who qualify in the written test. Candidates will be tested in the interview on the basis of Intelligence and personality.

A Medical examination will be done for the qualified candidates from the nearest Army/AF/Navy Hospital.

Pattern of RIMC Entrance Exam 2019

The written part of the examination will consist of three papers:

English - 125 Marks

Mathematics - 200 Marks

General knowledge - 75 Marks

The interview will be of 50 marks.

Mathematics - 200 marks (candidates can be answered in English or Hindi)

English -125 marks

General - 75 marks

General knowledge - (candidates can be answered in English or Hindi)

Interview - personality or intelligency of the candidates. The interview is mandatory to pass all candidates and must get 50% marks.

Medical board - candidates can check you medical test nearest Army /AF/ Navy Hospital.

Pattern of RIMC entrance exam-

Written examination-

English - 125 marks.

Mathematics - 200 marks.

General knowledge - 75 marks.

The interview will be of 50 marks and held for only those candidates who qualified in the written exam.

The candidates find the selected after the Viva voice will undergo medical examination as selected military hospitals and only those candidates found fit for medical test will be considered for selection.

Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun only take admission in 8th Standard. They do not take admission in 9th Standard.


The entrance examination would be divided into 3 parts:-
1)Written examination:-The question paper will consists of 125 marks for English , 200 marks for Mathematics and 75 marks for general Knowledge. Total would be 400 marks. It is mandatory to score minimum 50% marks in each subject.

2)Viva Voce :- Oral test of your knowledge and confidence level. The Viva voce would be of 50 marks. It is mandatory to score minimum 25 marks to qualify for the next examination.

3)Medical examination:- The candidate must be mentally and physically fit.

Pattern For RIMC Entrance Exam 2019

- There will be three papers of English, Maths and General Knowledge.

- You need to score minimum 50% marks to pass in each subject.

- Those who qualify will be eligible for interview.

The RIMC Admission Test consists of Written Examination and Viva Voce.

Written Examination:

English – 125 marks
Mathematics – 200 marks
General Knowledge – 75 marks

Candidates should score 50% marks to pass the written examination

Candidates who have qualified in the written examination are eligible for the Viva Voce. They should score at least 50% marks to clear the Viva Voce.

Medical Examination:

Candidates who have cleared the medical test are only eligible for the admission in the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC).

You are not eligible to get admission in std 9th in RIMC.

RIMC conducts entrance examination only for admission in std 8th.

The examination is conducted twice in a year.

Admission is conducted after qualifying in written examination and then in the Viva Voce Test.

RIMC, Dehradun does not offer the admission in std 9th. So, if you want to get admission then you are not eligible for it.

The written examination consists of question from Mathematics, General Knowledge and English.

So, to qualify in the examination you will have to do better practice of previous year questions and question of upto std 7th.

As RIMC does not conduct entrance examination for the admission in std 9th.

So, even if you are interested in getting the admission you are not eligible for it.

Entrance test is conducted only for admission in std 8th.

The exam pattern for RIMC Entrance exam for 8th standard admission;

• English of 125 marks
• Mathematics-200 Marks
• General Knowledge-75 marks
• Language -> Hindi, English, Regional language of the applicants
