Is it possible to get general admission in Indian schools rather than NRI quota?

My son is studying in Abu Dhabi and he is in 8th standard right now. We are Indian and I want to admit my son in Indian school for his further education. But I want his general admission instead of NRI quota. So, is it possible or not?
