Re: Procedure to become an IIT software engineer
First of all you need to qualify 12th standard in Science discipline with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as your primary subjects. You have to score 75% and above marks in 12th standard from a recognized board.
You have to appear for JEE Main and JEE Advance examinations and after qualifying in it you will become eligible for admission in IITs. In order to become Software engineer you need to choose CSE or IT branch in your B.Tech degree course. B.Tech is 4 years duration course, so it will take 4 years to become an engineer. |

Re: Procedure to become an IIT software engineer
As per the minimum eligibility criteria, a candidate who is interested to become an IIT software engineer has to complete 11th and 12th standard in non medical stream from a recognised board with minimum of 50% marks and has to qualify in the Engineering entrance test in both mains as well as advanced. So if you want to become software engineer then you have to opt for PCM stream in your intermediate and after that you have to appear in Joint Entrance Test.

Re: Procedure to become an IIT software engineer
I am very glad to hear about your passion to become an IIT Software Engineer.
Now to opt for the engineering course, you must have to complete your class 10th examination with merit marks. After completing class 10th, you must have to opt Science stream in class 11th and 12th studying Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as a subject combination. Score a minimum of 75% of marks in class 12th examination in order to be eligible for IIT JEE examination. Once you qualify in the entrance examination, you can then study Computer Science engineering in any of the IITs. After the completion of your 4 year degree course, you can become a Software Engineer. |

First of all you need to be well prepared for your board exam, so that you can score top marks in it. Then you have to be prepared for JEE Main, which is the entrance exam for admission in B.Tech courses.
Your 12th marks and JEE marks will help you to get admission in IIT for software engineering course. Hence, make sure you are very well prepared for them. |

Re: Procedure to become an IIT software engineer
Firstly, you have pass class 12th exam with physics, chemistry and maths as the main subjects in class 12th.
After passing class 12th exam you have to join coaching to crack JEE main exam. To join coaching center is not compulsory, you can crack JEE exam by your own but you have to practice a lot. In coaching they will provide you proper guidance. You have to score atleast 70% in maths, physics and chemistry. |
