My daughter is born on 3-Jun-2010. We tried in 3 schools which are nearby our place. We got the admission in one of the CBSE schools for LKG. But in one school they rejected for LKG and asked us to admit my baby to PreKG and the reason they said is my daughter will have problem at class X. They also said 3 years should be completed on or before 31st of May 2013 for CBSE. Could you please confirm about the age criteria for admission in LKG?

Basically age doesn't matter in Lower Kinder Garden but some of schools introduce such restrictions. So if you will request to them they will definitely co-operate with you.

You may also try in another school. It is not a hard and fast rule from cbse. It totally depends on school.

The minimum age criteria for any candidate to get admission in LKG in CBSE school is 3 and half years.

Any candidate not attaining the age mentioned above will not be eligible to get admission in any CBSE school according to the admission norms.

According to the CBSE board the minimum age limit for a student admitted in LKG is 4 years.
And for the candidate in UKG is 5 years.so,if you meet the above age criteria then it will not create any problem in future.

My son DOB is 23-3-2008.Now he is studying II class. I want to Know as he is following all guidelines w.r.to CBSE or AP Education?

My baby is born on 06-04-2015 i want to join her in pp1 instead of nursery she is 4 months shorter for joining in pp1 some schools are allowing to join her in pp1 but some some of them are allowing to join her in nursery because u may face problem in 10th standard. We are confused suggest us that what to join her in pp1 are nursery.

The age criteria for LKG in CBSE school are as:-

1. The minimum age required for the child to get admission in
LKG in CBSE board school is 3 year 6 month.

3 and half years of age is enough for getting admission in LKG. Generally many schools they didn't make any such criteria for taking admission in LKG.
