What is the age limit for studying 5th standard under CBSE Board curriculum?

My daughter birth date is 25th May 2010 and she completed 4th standard in the year of 2018 - 2019. But now we want 5th standard admission in CBSE Board for the academic year of 2019 -2020. So, is there any possibility to join above mentioned one? The age criteria of CBSE school in Andhra Pradesh differ from school to school so that we want in detail about age criteria regarding admission.

The age limit criteria varies with state and there is no official notification regarding the age limit by CBSE board.

It is the directorate of state education which declares the age limit with respect to schools of a particular state.

So, you can visit the concerned office or the school in which you want to get the admission for detail information.

The minimum age required for a child to get admission in 1st standard is 5 years and 6 month, thus for admission in class 5, the age should be 10 years and 6 months or more.
10 to 11 years students are eligible for class 5th admission.

Yes, your son can get admission in CBSE school being a 10 years old 5th standard student. The minimum age required for a child to get admission in first standard in CBSE school is 5 years 6 months.

Students are usually 10–11 years old unless the child has been held back or skipped a grade. In England and Wales, the equivalent is Year 6. In Ireland, the equivalent is 5th class. In the US, a 5th grader is considered a senior if they are going to another school.

According to the Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE)*guidelines, students must be between the ages of nine to ten years to be admitted to class 5 in CBSE schools.

If your child meets the above criteria, then the candidate is eligible for admission to class 5 in CBSE schools.
