Hello friends,

i am a student of commerce field with computer science as my compulsary subject and maths as an optional subject in 12th..
i scored 88% in 10th boards (ICSE) and 75% in 12th boards (ISC)..

i have a keen interest in the field of Information Technology and so want to pursue my MBA in this field.. but i have a very little knowledge about it..

please can someone guide me as to what Under Graduate course should i go for so as to pursue MBA in IT thenforth..

yes you can go for it
it doesnt matter wether u did BBA or BBM
the eligibility for any MBA program is
You need to have a bachelor's degree (3-year course) or equivalent in any discipline recognised by any Indian University / AICTE as eligible for post-graduate studies.

You can apply while you are in your final year of graduation. If you do get through the admission test, you will be given provisional admission on the condition that you provide your mark sheet and a certificate of passing by a certain date.

Some colleges like Lovely Professional University [jalandhar], offers BBA IT.

I think that will be the best if you want to go for MBA in IT.

Even if you do simple BBA or BBM, you are eligible to go for any specialisation in MBA, so don't worry about it.

It is very much possible for you to go for MBA after any specialiation in Graduation.

But having great marks you have to select the best institute after doing lot of research for doing mba.

No matter, whatever Degree you complete, you are eligible for doing mba.

Yes you can do MBA in IT it dosent depend on whether you have done BBA or BBM.

But it should be better if you do your bachelor degree in IT after you have completed that you can go for CAT, MAT or other exams.

for doing MBA, you just need to do graduation in nay field because for getting admission only graduation is required. you can select from various courses such as bsc, bba, ba, b.com etc. for doing mba you will have to first face the entrance exam of CAT. you can fill the form in the final year of your graduation.

buddy if ur going to do mba obviously u should have a basic knowledge abt the industry and economy, the BBA is like an first step towards the mba

its like ur going for an war and bfore it ur preparing ur self for it .
BBA or BMS gives you atleast basic knowledge of all the fields and an mba make u speacialized in it .

its an mean( the BBA degree) which leads to another mean(mba) which finally take you to ur goal .

so chill and go for it.

You can do your BBA first or BBM,after that you can do for MBA in IT,LPU offers bba IT.
You can also do for BTECH I.T. if you have a keen interest in I.T.,then you can go for a M.TECH programme in any field of your interest.

It is good to see you have a goal in mind and you are working towards it. So it’s possible to help. You have mentioned that you are keen on entering into the IT industry, and as you are not a science student doing engineering is also not possible. You have also mentioned here that you are interested in doing M.B.A (IT). So it would be suggested you to go for either B.Sc IT or BBA. And then go for M.B.A (IT).

hi dear,
yes, it is possible to do mba in IT after bba or bbm . IT is main sub. like finance ,marketing ,hr etc. in mba so u can do.

Certainly You cannot join MBA soon after 12th.. For doing MBA.. any graduation is fine.. as in B-Tech as well as BSc, BCA, BCOM.. anything would suffice.

Regarding stream, I guess the combo of Finance with HR is the BEST to choose.
