Its quite impressive that you want to become District Collector.

To become district collector you will have to clear the Civil Services examination conducted by Union Public Service commission.

Eligibility criteria:

Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. In final year of bachelor's degree also you will be eligible for the Civil services examination.

From my point of view you should pursue your bachelor's degree in science as it will assist and enhance your potential and talent for a clearing the three hurdles of civil services examination that is preliminary exam, Mains exam and personal interview.

So, first do your bachelor's degree then you can appear for this exam and during bachelor's degree you can also prepare for this exam. Focus on general knowledge and awareness as much as possible.

Age limit for candidates is 21-30 years. Upper age relaxed for OBC and SC/ST candidates.

There are four attempts for general candidates, seven for OBC candidates and no limit for SC/ST candidates.
