What we will get post after qualifying the enterence exam of ias...please tell me teh post

After qualify IAS exam then you are eligible for Collector
First you get placed in Sub- collector
after some years of experience then you appointment as collector in one District.

You are the head of one district all power is given by you to success full implementation.

YOU WILL BE INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER.

Indian Administration Service exam is held ONLY once in year.

this exam is part of Civil service exam and exam is conducted by UPSC.

Eligibility criteria for IAS exam:
Candidate should have complete graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university.
Age should be between
21 to 30 years for General category candidates
21to 33 year for OBC category candidates
21 to 35 years for SC/ST category candidates


there are 3 stage or EXAM in the IAS.
first one is preliminary exam(it is objective type exam)
second is main exam (question to be answer in length)
third is personal interview

clearing one will get you to another level exam.

Hi friend,

After clearing UPSC exam and after becoming I.A.S, you will be offered post of "Collector".

For this ,you need to apply for UPSC exam, which is conducted in three phases:-

-Objective exam

-Written descriptive exam

-Interview

If you clear obj. exam , then only , you can go for Written descriptive exam and after clearing that you can appear for interview.

Merit is made by the considering marks in descriptive exam as well as interview.

You need to rank higher in the merit, in order to take admission for I.A.S.

After clearing training of I.A.S,you will be given post of Collector at different district of India.

You will not be given admission to any of the civil services soon after qualifying in the exam for IAS which is civil services examination.

But the candidate has to crack the complete selection procedure of
-CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test)
-Civil Servies Main Examination
-Interview

So, if you qualify in CSAT Exam, then you have to qualify in Civil Services Main Examination also. Later on depending upon your performance in the Interview, you will be given admission to variety of civil services like
-Indian Adminstrative Service
-Indian Police Service
-Indian Revenue Service
-Indian Information Service
-Indian Railway Traffic Service
-Indian Postal Service
-Indian Civil Accounts Service etc.

The competition for these positions is high. So, one should have strong general knowledge and subject knowledge in order to be placed in these positions. So, have good preparation for the Interview and attempt it well.

After Cracking the CSAT and Civil Service Examination after that Interview you will get a post

Take arts and complete your B.A

Is interview a must? or else if i pass only in prilims and written is there any chance of getting jobs

The post of 'collector' can be get after clearing the civil services exam conducted by UPSC.
And for clearing the civil service exam, the candidate has to fulfill following criteria:-
- Candidate should be a citizen of India.
- Candidate should have completed graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent qualification as such recognized by the central government.Final year appearing student can also apply for the exam.
- The age limit is from 21 yrs to 30 yrs for general category and relaxation of age for OBC by 3 yrs and for SC/ST 5 yrs.
- The no.of attempt for general category is four, for OBC, it is seven and for SC/ST,it is unlimited.
- The selection process consist of preliminary exam,main exam and personality interview.
