Profile:

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission consists of a Chairman and fourteen other members. The commission was established under Article 316 to 319, Government of India. The the members of the commission are appointed by the Governor of Tamil Nadu. Mr. Thiru R. Sellamuthu is the Honourable Chairman of the commission. The responsibility of ensuring the implementation of commission’s various decisions is handled by the secretary of the commission only. The major function of the commission is to make direct recruitment to state, subordinate and ministerial services and also to conduct departmental examinations for Government servants.

Job Profile:

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission invite applications from the eligible candidates only for the following posts of Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendet, District Registrar, Assistant Director of Rural development Department etc:

1. Recruitment of Deputy Collector (Tamil Nadu Civil Service):
Posts Available: 56 posts are available.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.

Out of 56 posts, 33 are current and 23 are backlog posts.

2. Recruitment of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Tamil Nadu Police Service):

Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.

3. Recruitment of Assistant Commissioner (Commercial Tax Officer):

4. Recruitment of District Registrar (Tamil Nadu Registration Service):

6. Recruitment of Divisional Officer in the Fire and Rescue Services Department (Tamil Nadu Fir and Rescue Service):

Age Limit:

Candiates must be within 21 to 30 years of age. Relaxation of 5 years is available for the reserved category candidates interested in any of the above specified post.

Application Fee:

Candidates are required to pay Rs. 75 as application fee for the Preliminary Examination and Rs. 125 for Main Written examination. However, no fee is required to be paid by the Physically handicapped candidates at all.

Selection Process:

Candidates will have to qualify in the preliminary examination first. And then only qualified candidates will be called for the next phase of the selection process which includes a Main written examination. A personal interview session with the selection committee is the nest phase and last phase of the selection process in Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission.
