I am studying 10th class. I would like to join in NDA. I am interested in joining in NDA. Now i would like to know the qualifications to join NDA?

The minimum eligibility criteria required to join in NDA is that the candidate must have completed class 12 examination from a recognized board of education.

For Naval and Air force wing the candidate must have passed class 12 examination with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects.

After completion of class 10, you must have secured admission for class 12 with PCM as subjects and in the when you are in the class 12 academic year, you are eligible to apply for NDA examination.

Candidate can't join NDA after 10th class.
Candidate have to pass 12th class in order to apply for NDA exams.

Qualification required to apply for NDA :

For India Army :
Candidate must have passed 12th class from any recognised board in any stream.

For Indian Navy and Air Force :
Candidate must have passed 12th with Physics and Mathematics from any recognised board.

Age of candidate must be from 16.5 to 19 years.

You need to have class 12th qualification to become eligible for NDA examination which is conducted by the UPSC. Also, your age should be between 16.5 to 19.5 years and you should be unmarried male.

If you want to join Indian Air Force or Navy then make sure you study physics and maths at class 12th level. Selection will be based on performance in written exam and SSB.

Educational Qualification Required to be eligible for joining NDA:

National Defence Academy (NDA) Recruitment Examination is conducted by "UPSC (Union Public Service Commission)" twice a year. There are three wings in NDA and are,
> Army Wing of NDA
> Naval Wing of NDA
> Air Force Wing of NDA

Qualification for Air Force Wing of NDA:
* 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education with Physics and Mathematics or equivalent

Qualification for Army Wing of NDA:
* 12th Class pas of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or its equivalent.

Qualification for Naval Wings of NDA:
* 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education with Physics and Mathematics or equivalent

Make sure you do any one of the qualifications mentioned above in order to join National Defense Academy.

The acronym NDA stands for National Defence Academy.

Academic Eligibility:

A candidate should have passed 10+2 from a recognized board. Physics and Mathematics is compulsory for Navy and Air force.

Age limit:

16.5-19.5 years for all candidates.

Marital Status:

Unmarried male candidates only can apply for exam.

To join in NDA after completion of your 10th standard, you must have to pursue 11th and 12th standard with Science stream from a recognised board. The NDA examination is conducted by UPSC twice a year for candidates who are interested to join in Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. Eligibility criteria required to appear in NDA examination is mentioned below :-

1. You must be a citizen of India.

2. You must have completed 12th standard from a recognised board.

3. You must be in between 16 1/2 to 19 years of age.

4. You must be an Unmarried Male candidate.

5. You must be Physically fit as per physical standards mentioned in the UPSC NDA examination notification.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy and it is conducted by UPSC twice every year.

The examination is conducted for recruitment of candidates in defence services. The eligibility to appear for examination is candidate must have passed 10+2 or pursuing from a recognised board. Candidates age must be between 16.5-19.5 years.

There is compulsory to have Mathematics and Physics in 10+2 to appear for Air Force and Navy.

After 10th standard, you can't apply for NDA exam.

The candidate's who have completed the 12th standard from a recognized board or equivalent exam are eligible for NDA exam.

Final year of 12th standard candidate are eligible for NDA exam.

Your age should be in between to 16.5 years to 19 years. There is no age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

The examination is conducted by UPSC in month of April and September. The eligibility to appear for examination is :-

Candidate must have passed 10+2 or pursuing from a recognised board.

Candidate must have Physics and Mathematics as main paper to appear for Air Force, Navy or Naval Academy, there is no limitation for Army.

Candidate's age must be between 16.5-19.5 years.

So, now you are not eligible to appear for examination. The examination is conducted in two stages as Written and SSB.

You are not eligible for NDA entrance exam with 10th standard qualification. You need to complete 12th standard or equivalent qualification to be eligible for ND examination. Only science stream candidates with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible to apply for Indian Air Force and Navy wing.

After Higher Secondary,you can apply for NDA exam.

Eligibility criteria for NDA exam :

Candidate must have passed higher secondary with 55% marks (any subjects)from any recognized board or university for Indian Army.

Candidate must have passed higher secondary with 60% marks (PCM)from any recognized board or university for Indian Air force and Indian Navy.

Age is between 16.1/2 to 19 years.

Candidate must be a male candidate.

Candidate must be a citizen of India.

Candidate must be an unmarried candidate.
