Dear friends, please help me to know about the eligibility criteria through which I can study PhD in Computer Science and Engineering in IIT-Hyderabad? I am interested to do PhD in this stream in this institute. Please help me to know about this asap. Thank you!

Ph.D in Computer Science is a 3 year doctorate level degree certification in the area of computer science and the minimum eligibilty criterion for admission is 55% marks in M.Phil or equivalent level in the subject.

Eligibility to study PhD(Computer Science and Engineering) in IIT-Hyderabad are as follows.

Candidates must have passed B.Tech/B.E/B.S./M.Sc./MCA degree in any discipline with minimum 7.0 CGPA (6.3 CGPA or above for OBC non-creamy layer category and 5.9 CGPA or above for SC/ST category) from any recognized university.

Candidates must have passed M.Tech/M.E/M.S. degree in CSE/IT/ECE/EE with minimum 7.0 CGPA or above (6.3 CGPA or above for OBC non-creamy layer category and 5.9 CGPA or above for SC/ST category) from any recognized university.

Candidates who have a B.Tech/B.E/B.S./M.Sc/MCA degree in CSE/EE/IT/ECE (without having M.Tech/M.E/M.S. degree in in CSE/IT/ECE/EE) are also eligible to apply, provided they have a valid GATE CS score and they have secured minimum 7.5 CGPA (6.75 CGPA in case of OBC non-creamy layer and 6.4 CGPA in case of SC/ST category) in their graduation.

Candidates with B.Tech. in CSE/IT/EE/ECE from IITs with CGPA 8 or above are eligible to apply without a valid GATE score.
