TNPSC VAO Exam Details:

~To sit for the VAO exam you need to be a 10th pass out as that is the minimum qualification required to sit for this exam.

~Your age should be between 18 and 28 years when applying for this exam. This upper age limit is only for the general category candidates.

~For the reserved category candidates there is age relaxation. The upper age limit for them is 40 years.

~You need to be proficient in Tamil language as that is an important criteria for selection. If you do not know the language well then you have to give Tamil language exam.

~You should be physically fit and you have to show medical certificates to prove that during exam time.

~Selection procedure is basically based on the written exam only. Other factors includes the district selected by you and the reservations of the district concerned.

~For the exam questions will come from the following subjects: General Knowledge and General English/General Tamil. You will get 3 hours to complete the whole paper and there will be 200 questions to solve.

~All in all the marks allotted for the exam is 300 and out of the total marks allotted you need to secure 90 marks to qualify. On failing to get this marks you will be disqualified.
