Can I get Germany study visa having 5.5 band?
Just for clarification, I would want if someone with bad 5.5 band can get Germany visa for studying post graduation course or not?

Requirements for Germany study visa:
1. Duly filled out and signed national visa application form. 2. Your valid national passport. 3. Two photocopies of your passport. 4. Your certificate of birth. 5. Your marriage certificate. |

You do not need a student visa to study in Germany. You do not need a student visa, but you have to register within two weeks at the local Residents' Registration Office and the Aliens' Registration Office. The candidate needs to qualify IELTS exam or TOELF exam with a minimum of 7.0 score band to get admission in Germany.

You have scored 5.5 bands in IELTS, you are not eligible for student visa in Germany.
In Germany the minimum requirement of IELTS for study visa is 6.0 basic the more you score the high demand of your profile is increased. IELTS is just for language proficiency exam and German language of B1 is required for getting admission in the university.
