Hi, My daughter is studying in Class XII in Oman. She is appearing for NEET examination. We would like to know an NRI student can continue their education in India under General /OBC quotas or they have to enroll as NRI only. Please advise at the earliest.

This is a concern of many parents and for the majority of NRIS it is very difficult to afford their children educating in NRI quotas. Please reply promptly.

No. NRI students can not continue their education in India under General /OBC quotas. Since NRIs are only eligible to apply under the NRI Category, not the General Category. General Category, EWS, OBC, SC, and ST are only applicable to Indian citizens.
