Medical Colleges:

Gajra Raja Medical College came into existence in the year 1946 and the college is affiliated to Jiwaji University. The college is approved by the Medical Council of India to admit 140 students per year for the MBBS course offered. Totally 20 courses are offered by the college, which includes MBBS course, MD in nine different medical disciplines, MS in four different medical disciplines and diploma course in six medical disciplines. Of the 140 seats available for MBBS course, 22 are for students belonging to different parts of India, 48 unreserved seats, 20 seats for SC, 16 for ST, 14 seats for OBC, 5 seats for NRI, 05 seats are government nominee seats, while the remaining 10 seats are payment seats.

Government Ayurved College & Hospital, Amkhoh came into existence in the year 1916 and it is a co-education college affiliated to Jiwaji University. The course offered by the college is BAMS.

Law College:

Mahatma Gandhi Law College came into existence in the year 2002 and this college is also affiliated to the Jiwaji University. This college is offering three-year Bachelor of Law (LL.B) Course, which is approved by the Bar Council of India.

Engineering College:

ABV-Indian Institute of Information Technology & Management is an autonomous institution established by the Ministry of HRD of Government of India. This institution is offering courses under four different categories namely integrated PG, PG M. Tech, PG MBA and PHD. Admission to the different branches of M. Tech offered by the college is done based on the GATE score and for MBA course admission is done based on the score obtained by the students in the National Level CAT examination.

Arts & Science Colleges:

All seven government-colleges coming under this category offer education with affiliation from Jiwaji University. Of these seven colleges, some colleges offer courses under arts, science and commerce stream, while some colleges offer courses under science stream alone. Most of these colleges offer courses under UG, PG and Ph. D level of education with approval from the state government of Madhya Pradesh.

Polytechnic College:

Government Women’s Polytechnic College, Lashkar came into existence in the year 1994 and the college is offering diploma courses in modern office management, textile design, beauty culture & cosmetology, interior decoration & design, computer science & engineering and information technology.
