Narasinghpur District of the state of Madhya Pradesh is also referred to as Narsimhapur District and the district is located in the central part of the nation. The district has its administrative headquarters as the town of Narsinghpur and the district has five tehsils under it namely Tendukheda, Kareli, Narsinghpur, Gadarwara and Gotegaon. Government T.N.S. College, Gotegaon is fully called as Government Takur Niranjan Singh College and the college has been offering education right from the year 1972. The college offers UG courses and the list of courses offered by the college is given below:

Government Shyam Sundar Narayan Mushran Women’s College, Narsinghpur was established by the Government of Madhya Pradesh as a college meant for Women in the  year 1982. Initially, the college was affiliated to the Dr. Hari Singh Gour University and later its affiliation was shifted to the Rani Durgavati University at Jabalpur. The college is funded by the Government of Madhya Pradesh and it offers both UG and PG courses in the faculties of arts, science and commerce to women students.

Polytechnic College:

Vdihyabati Mushran Government Polytechnic College came into existence in the year 1999 as Vdihyabati Mushran Government Women’s Polytechnic College and the term women was omitted by the Government of Madhya Pradesh in the year 2009 thereby changing it as a co-education institution. The institute offers the following courses with affiliation from the Rajiv Gandhi Technical University:

Diploma in Modern Office Management

Diploma in Computer Science

Diploma in Fashion Technology

For each of these courses, the institute is approved with an intake capacity of 60 students per year and the duration of the first two courses is three years, while that of the final course mentioned above is two years. The institute has a placement cell for offering the best placement opportunities to the diploma pass-outs of the college and career guidance is also offered to the students not only with respect to jobs, but also with respect to higher education opportunities available.
