The Gyan Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology in Mohali is also known as GJIMT. The institute came into existence in 1998. It was set up by the Gyan Jyoti Educational Society. The Institute is approved by the AICTE and is an ISO 9001:2000 certified company. The Gyan Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology is affiliated to the Punjab Technical University in Jalandhar. The institute is ranked 35th in whole of India.

Campus

The campus of the management college is spread over a huge area of about 60,000 sq.feet. The class rooms of the institute are all air conditioned. There are auditoriums in the building with a capacity of about 200. The teaching and the administrative staff of the institute are provided their cabins. The whole building has a Wi-Fi connection. There are a total of more that 200 computers in the laboratories of the institute with internet connectivity. The library of the college has more than 12046 volumes of books and 8810 titles and the leading journals and magazines.

Courses Offered

The Gyan Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology on the whole offers three basic courses, the Ph.D course, the MCA and the MBA courses. All the courses follow the normal norms as laid down by the Government of India.

Admission Procedure

For entry to the MCA program the students have to give the MET after which the merit candidates shall be called for counseling and then they can get admitted to the institute. For the MBA also they have to appear for the MET and the various other procedures are followed later on.

Placements

The placements of the students in all the courses have a very good record almost all the candidates get selected in the campus recruitment. The companies like Axis Bank, Future India Group, Reliance Insurance and other major giants recruit students.
