Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University came into existence through an Act of the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly and it is nurtured by the Wakf Council of the Jammu & Kashmir. The university was established with the objective of offering quality education and to take up research activities not only in basic fields, but also in job-oriented fields and with this view the university has introduced courses under different streams of education like bioresources, biotechnology, mathematics, business management, Arabic, information technology, computer science and financial management, etc…
