Madurai Kamaraj University 2011 MCA
Madurai Kamaraj University conducts an admission process for admission in to its Master in Computer Applications (MCA) Course. It was conferred the status of “University with Potential for Excellence” by University Grants Commission (UGC) recently. The candidates have to collect an application form in order to enroll their names for the specified course. The foundation stone of the Madurai Kamraj University was laid by the Dr. Zakir Hussain. It was established in 1966 and since then is providing a number of undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs in various fields. The university was renamed in the year 1978 to Madurai Kamraj University. The university provides excellent campus features to its students. The students get all sorts of training programs conducted by the university.

Madurai Kamraj University is situated in a beautiful area of about 750 acres and has state of art campus. The university is at a distance of 13 kilometers from the western part of the city.

It conducts entrance exam for admission in to its various courses. Its MCA entrance exam is usually held in the month of March. Candidates are first shortlisted through a written test and then the shortlisted candidates are called for interview and group discussion after which the final selections are done. It frequently features amongst the top universities in India as released by reliable surveys. It offers qualified and experienced faculty members to its students.
Popularity of the exam:
Every year a large number of students apply for MCA in Madurai Kamraj University and the competition is quite tough. Students not only from this sate but also from all over the country are showing higher attentions towards this institute.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must have got a bachelor’s degree with Mathematics at 10+2 level. Also the candidates must have bachelor’s degree with Computer Science/Applications as a major/vocational subject. Final year candidates can also appear for the entrance examination.
Important Dates (Tentative):
• Availability of Application forms from: last week of December, 2010
• Last date of submitting completed application form: second week of February, 2011
• Date of Entrance test: first week of the month of March, 2011
Application Forms:
Candidates can get the application forms directly from the university counter or obtain it through post from KMU by sending a demand draft along with the request for form. Candidates can also download the application form through the website www.mkuniversity.org.
Examination Pattern:
The entrance test will be of 100 minutes consisting of only objective type questions from the following sections:
Mathematics-10+2 level(30%)
Logical reasoning/Analytical Ability(30%)
English(10%)
Introductory knowledge of computers(30%)
Short listed candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview for final selection.
