Noorul Islam College of Engineering, Kumaracoil
Noorul Islam College of Engineering was set up in 1989 by Noorul Islam Educational Trust. The college is situated in the state of Tamil Nadu, in the district of Kanyakumari District. The college has its affiliation to Anna University, Chennai and is recognized by AICTE and by Tamil Nadu government.
Courses Offered
The courses offered by the college are four years bachelor’s degree in engineering (B.E.) in a number of streams including Electronics & Communication Engineering; Computer Science & Engineering; Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering; Aeronautics Engineering; Information Technology; Civil Engineering; Electrical Engineering; and Marine Engineering. Other courses offered by the college include Post Graduate courses in Thermal Engineering, Applied Electronics, Computer Science and Engineering, and Instrumentation & Control Engineering. Also the college offers MCA and MBA programs.
Admission Procedure
The college gives admission on the basis of the entrance exam of the state and also on the basis of AIEEE. GATE score is the criterion for admission to Master’s degree.
Infrastructure
The college has a sprawling campus of 225 acres. The hostels for boys and girls are separate with both non AC and AC rooms. Also there is also a medical and health centre within the college campus itself. The library is well equipped and is has a large three storied building. It has books of all departments and also many journals and CD ROMS.
Placement
The students of the college have been placed in various MNCs. The placement cell of the college has strong relations with reputed companies like Wipro, CTS, IBM, Terumo Penpol Limited, Transmatic System Limited, HCL and Hindustan Latex Limited

It is learnt that NICE is cnducting Entrance Exam.2010 for Engineering on 18.04.2010.Kindly note that Kerala Entrance.2010 is scheduled to be held on 19.04.2010 &20.04.2010.Hence it will be difficult for students who are on preparation of Kerala State Entrance to appear for the Exam. on 18.04.2010.Hence it is requested to reconsider any other date after 20.10.2010, excluding 25.04.2010 forv the proposed exam.
