Odaiyappa College of Engineering and Technology is located at Cumbum, in Theni district of Tamilnadu. It was established in 1998 by Odaiyappa Educational Trust and initially it was affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University earlier. Since 2002, the affiliation is with Anna University, Chennai. The college campus stands as a magnificent building on 82,000 square feet. Odaiyappa Educational trust runs several other institutions like Matriculation school, a hospital at Theni and another hospital at Wayalar in Kerala.

Special course is conducted in ECE and EEE departments to impart knowledge about basic programs of software including C++, Visual Basic and Web designing.

Even though the beginning years of this establishment went unnoticed by others, now the college has gained notable reputation and high credit of professional excellence. The classrooms of each department are big, airy and spacious. Each department has technically updated instruments in their lab. The library has vast collection of books at the information resource centre. The college runs its own buses to transport students from remote areas.

Admission:

The entire process is based on the norms of the Anna University, Chennai and on the marks obtained in Tamilnadu Professional College Entrance Examinations (TNPCEE) or Professional Courses Common Entrance Test (PCCET). Seat allocations are done as per the norms and rules of Anna University and the State Government schedule.

Placement:

In the website, many old students speak about the placement cell and through the effort of the cell how they have secured a high profile job. Training is offered both mentally and physically in the placement cell. The coordinator in the cell encourages the students to actively participate in group discussion, workshops, paper presentation and other activities which increase their confidence.
