Bank profile: Punjab National bank famous as PNB is a reputed and one of the oldest banks in India. It made a net profit of Rs3100 crores this year. It has a variety of services and facilities for its customers such as NRI services, corporate and personal services and schemes for women, students, senior citizens etc. 

Job profile: The officers will be required to work in the IT domain. They will be responsible for handling the IT applications, work on IT infrastructure, work on banking solutions and also operate and manage various systems. They will also be required to assist their seniors.

Eligibility: A candidate must be 21 years and must not exceed 45 years. However, relaxation can be claimed as per the rules.

Educational Qualifications: A candidate must have a first class graduate degree in any stream from a recognized university or an institution. A candidate must have a minimum experience of 1 year in the field of core banking solutions (Finacle) branches.

No. of posts: There are 227 posts in total which include 34 posts for SC, 17 for ST. 61 for OBC and 115 for GEN.

Pay scale: The officers will get a pay scale of Rs.10000-18240 plus other incentives and allowances as per the rules.

Selection process: The candidates will have to undergo a written test followed by an interview.

How to apply: The candidates have to first pay a fee of Rs400 (Rs50 for SC/ST/PH) in the form of cash through a payment voucher which can be obtained from the bank’s website. The candidates then have to fill online the details on the voucher (given by the bank). The candidates must take out the printout of the registration form and produce it at the time of the test.

The last date to register online is 7th November 2009.

The date of written exam is 20th December 2009.
