Avinashilingam Deemed University for Women was intially established with the name of Sri Avinashilingam Home Science College for Women. The college was originally named after great educationist, Dr. T. S. Avinashilingam. The university got its present name in the year 2008 as per the coorrigendum No. F.6-1 (11)/2006 (CPP-1). Dr. T. S. Meenakshi Sundaram is the present cchancellor of the university. There are total seven faculties present in the university: Home Science, Business Administration, Science, Humanities, Engineering and Community Educationa, Education and Entrepreneurship Development.

The post of Professor and Associate Professor are available in the field of Psychology, Botany, Tamil, Food Service Management & Disease, Textiles and Clothing, Family and Community Science, Business Adminsitration etc.

Eligibility:

Interested candidates must have age less than the upper age limit set for the posts of Professor, Associate Professor and Librarina in Avinashilingam Deemed University. Reserved categories candidates may get relaxation of few years in the upper age limit set for the posts.

Educational Qualification:

Professor: Candidates should be an eminent scholar with Ph.D. degree in the concerned discipline. Candidates should also possess minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in any university.

Associate Professor: Candidates should have a good academic record with Ph.D. degree in the concerned discipline. Candidates are also required to have done Master’s degree with atleast 55% marks inn aggregate. Atleast eight years of experience in teaching or research field is required.

Librarian: Master’s degree in concerned discipline with atleast 55% marks in aggregate is required for the post. Candidates should also have worked for atleast 13 years as a Deputy Librarian in an university.

Pay Scale:

Professor: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10000.
Associate Professor: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8700.
Librarian: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10000.

An application fee of Rs. 50 is need to be submitted by General and OBC categories candidates. SC/ST candidates are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 25 only with Community Certificate attached. The application fee must be submitted either in cash or in the form of a demand draft.
