Raj Narain College is a constituent college of B.R. Ambedkar Bihar University located at Muzaffarpur from the year 1975. It is one of the oldest institutions in the district of Vaishali established in the year 1952.

Courses offered:

Raj Narain College offers different courses in the faculties of science and arts under post graduation, under graduation and intermediate level. It offers BCA as a self-financing course and vocational certificate course in clinical psychology. The University Grants Commission sponsors the certificate course offered by the college. The arts courses are offered under the departments of political science, history, Sanskrit, English, psychology, philosophy, economics, Urdu and Hindi. The science courses are offered under the department of mathematics, botany, zoology, chemistry and physics.

Campus of the college:

As far as the topography of the college is concerned, it is located in a semi-urban area, but it meets the educational requirements of all sorts of people. The campus of the college is provided with a centrally rich library, well-equipped laboratories and playground. The campus has a built-in area of 5000 square meters and land area of nearly six acres.

Library and computer center:

The central library of the college has a collection of more than 50000 books, 100 multimedia literatures and it is subscribing for more than 45 journals. The computer center in the college has 28 computers.

Raj Narain College is following a holistic vision on life and so students of the college are not motivated to develop functional attitude to academic pursuit and education. The college aims to develop the spiritual, moral and cultural values among the students. It also aims at making the students as leaders in different walks of their life and the college wants its students to be role models for the society.
