Chennai Metro Rail Limited has invited applications for various posts in the organization. Recruitment is carried out on the basis of personal interview. Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply. Eligibility Criterion

Candidates having the following educational qualification are eligible to apply for the respective posts in Chennai Metro Rail Limited.

Deputy General Manager: Those who have completed any of the following courses from a recognized University are eligible to apply for this post.

• Bachelor of Technology/ Engineering in Electronics Engineering
• Bachelor of Technology/ Engineering in Electronics and Communication
• Bachelor of Technology/ Engineering in Computer Science Engineering
• Master of Computer Science

They should have a minimum of 10 years professional experience in respective areas such as Embedded Systems, Data Processing and Cross Compilation. Those who have completed 40 years or more are not eligible to apply.

Estate Officer: Graduation in Civil Engineering from a recognized University is the minimum educational qualification. There is no minimum mark required for qualification. Aspirants are required to have professional experience of a minimum of 8 years in survey, revenue maps, documents and insurance on buildings and preparation of drawings. They should have good knowledge in software packages such as CAD. Upper age limit for application is 38 years.

Shunting Drivers: Candidates who have completed three years full time diploma courses in any discipline from a recognized Industrial Training Institute are eligible to apply for this post. Those who have specialized in trades such as Electrical/ Electronics/ Communications will be given additional preference. Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years experience in driving diesel locomotive in Indian Railways. Upper age limit is 58 years.

Train Operator/ Instructor: Matriculation and three years full time diploma in any of the following courses from a recognized University/ Institute is the desired qualification.

• Electrical Engineering
• Electrical and Electronics Engineering
• Electricals and Communication Engineering
• Electrical Power Systems
• Industrial Electronics
• Mechanical Engineering

They should have a minimum of 3 years experience in driving electrical locomotive in Indian Railways or Metro Rail Transport. Those who have worked as Loco inspectors will be given additional preference. Application from those who are more than 45 years at the time of application will not be accepted.
