Sree Siddaganga College of Arts, Science and Commerce for Women was established by the Sree Siddaganga Education Society and the college began to function from the year 1982. The college is affiliated to Tumkur University and it is popular among students mainly because of its central location and effective teaching-learning processes.

Courses offered:

The details of courses offered by the college with subject combinations permitted is given  below:

• Bachelor of Commerce

• Bachelor of Business Administration

Bachelor of Arts in Humanities:

Under this course, the students are permitted to choose any one combination of subject out of six combinations. Out of the six combinations first five combinations has history and economics and the remaining subjects in each combination is political science, optional Kannada, optional English, sociology and computer science. The sixth combination is sociology, economics and computer science.

Bachelor of Science in Physical & Natural Sciences:

In the Bachelor of Science course offered by the college, the students are permitted to select any one of the seven combinations permitted and they are as follows:

• Computer science, mathematics, economics

• Biotechnology, botany, chemistry

• Microbiology, zoology, chemistry

• Zoology, botany, chemistry

• Electronics, mathematics, physics

• Computer science, mathematics, physics

• Mathematics, chemistry, physics

Language lab in the college:

Since a number of students of Sree Siddaganga College of Arts, Science and Commerce are from rural areas the college stresses the importance of honing the English language skills of the students in such a way that their confidence level is improved. For this purpose, the language lab has been set up in the college with well-trained faculty members and 15 computers to offer an interactive language learning experience to the students.

Facilities:

In addition to the language lab, the college is also offering other facilities like library, parking facility, internet facility, canteen, etc… to the students.
