Details of ‘Assistant’ Recruitment in NICL- 2013
National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) has invited applications for the post of “Assistant”. The minimum qualification specified for this post is 12th class with at least 60% marks. Graduates in any subjects can also apply. The selection procedure for this post includes an objective type written examination for a total of 250 marks. The main topic areas covered in this entrance exam are – Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, GK, English Language and Computer Knowledge. On qualifying written exam, candidates need to attend a Computer Literacy test followed by a Personal Interview. The tentative date to submit applications for this post is 2nd June, 2013.
Eligibility Criteria for NICL Recruitment
In order to apply for the post of Assistant in NICL, it is essential for candidates to complete a minimum qualification of 12th class with at least 60% marks (50% marks for SC/ST/Ex – servicemen/Physically handicapped category candidates). On the other hand, graduates in any discipline with the specified percentage of marks can also apply for this post. It is also compulsory for candidates to have the ability for oral and written communication in local language of the state to which they belong to. The age limit specified for candidates must fall between 18 – 28 years. For specific reserved category candidates, age relaxation is allowed.
Selection Procedure for NICL Recruitment
The selection procedure for NICL recruitment process essentially includes a written examination. The format of the written examination will be an objective based test including sections such as –
- Section 1 - Test of Reasoning
- Section 2 - Numerical Aptitude
- Section 3 - General Knowledge
- Section 4 - English Language
- Section 5 - Computer Knowledge
For answering each specific section correctly, candidates will get 50 marks making it a total of 250 marks for all the 5 different sections. The time limit allotted to attempt the written examination is 120 minutes. The total marks obtained in the written examination will proportionately be converted to a base of 35 marks. On qualifying written examination with at least 55% marks (50% marks for ex servicemen and 45% marks for SC/ST/PH/OBC candidates), candidates are short listed for further selection procedures such as –
- Computer Literacy Test
- Personal Interview (15 marks)
The final selected list of candidates will be published on the basis of candidate’s performance in pre recruitment test followed by a Computer literacy test and Personal Interview.
Application Procedure for NICL Recruitment
As a first step towards the application procedure, candidates need to take a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 100/- as application fees (Rs 50/- for reserved categories) on behalf of National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) which needs to be paid at Guwahati. It is essential to download the application form the official website and fill in the same with all specified details correctly. The completed application forms along with attested copies of specified educational documents and DD need to be send the specified address within the last date (which is 21 days from the date of publishing recruitment notice).
