Competition Commission of India was incorporated in the year 2003 under the control of Government of India. The commission is mainly responsible for the enforcement of the Competition Act, 2002 throughout the country. The commission follows the philosophy of modern competition laws. The commission is consist of a Chairperson and six other members. The appointment of the six other members is been made by the Central Government. Protecting the interests of consumers and ensuring freedom of trade are the major objectives of the Competition Commission of India.

Job Profile:

Competition Commission of India invites applications from eligible and qualified candidates on the following positions of Director and Deputy Director. The post of Director is available in the field of Economics and the post of Deputy Director is available in the field of Law, Financial Analysis and Economics. Candidates will be selected on direct recruitment basis.

1. Recruitment of Director (Economics).
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Age Limit: Candidates should have age in between 40 to 45 years.
Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in Economics or equivalent from a recognized university. Candidates should also posses atleast 8 years experience in the relevant field.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8900.

2. Recruitment of Deputy Director (Law).
No. of posts: Only 6 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candidates should have age less than 33 years.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Law or equivalent from a recognized university. Candidates should also posses atleast 3 years experience in the relevant field.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 7600.

3. Recruitment of Deputy Director (Financial Analysis).
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Age Limit: Candidates should have age less than 33 years.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Commerce or Business Administration or equivalent from a recognized university.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 7600.

4. Recruitment of Deputy Director (Economics).
No. of posts: Only 11 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candidates should have age less than 33 years.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Economics or Statistics or equivalent from a recognized university with atleast 3 years experience in relavnt field.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 7600.

Application Fee:

All interested candidates (except SC/ST/Women/PH candidates) are required to submit the prescribed amount of application fee. Rs. 50 is the amount of application fee application fee for the candidates. However, no application is need to be submitted by the SC/ST/Women/PH candidates. The submission of the application fee must be made through the means of Demand Draft or Pay Order. The demand draft should be drawn on any scheduled bank in favour of Competition Commission of India (COmpetition Fund) Account payable at Delhi.
