Engineering is the minimum educational qualification required to apply for the post of ‘Graduate Trainee in Indian Oil Corporation Limited. Candidates are required to secure at least 65% marks in qualifying exam so as to be eligible. Those who are more than 26 years of age at the time of application are not eligible. Apart from this, candidates are required to be physically fit so as to be eligible.

Qualification Marks

Candidates are required to have a minimum of 65 % marks in the qualifying examination. Those who are belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe and candidates with disability are required to have a mere pass in the qualifying exam.

Final year candidates are also eligible to apply. Such candidates are required to submit their final year mark sheet within the stipulated time. Those who are pursuing M.Tech in above said subjects can also apply for this exam. Such candidates should have completed B.Tech in any of the above mentioned subjects and cleared GATE- 2013 exam. Candidates who have completed integrated M.Tech in any of the relevant subjects can also apply.

Age Restrictions

The upper age limit for candidates belonging to general category is 26 years at the time of application. Apart from this, candidates belong to reserved categories can seek age relaxation as per the notification in the Presidential Directive.

Concessions/ Relaxations

Certain percentage of vacancies is reserved for candidates grouped under Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward classes as per the norms issued by the Government of India. OBC candidates belonging to non creamy layer are only eligible for reservation. They are required to submit the OBC certificate in prescribed format which is not more than 6 months old. Those who are domicile of Jammu & Kashmir and ex servicemen having a minimum of 5 years service can avail 5 years relaxation in upper age limit.

Physical Fitness
