Well sir, i am Pranav Sawant. I've completed my Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication, and after passing the NDA exam tell me that on which post i am going to be placed?

NDA stands for National Defence Academy and entrance examination conducted by UPSC twice every year.

The examination is conducted for recruitment in Defence services. The eligibility to appear for examination is :-

Candidate must have passed or pursuing 10+2 from recognised board.

Candidate's age must between 16.5-19.5 years.

Only male candidates are eligible to appear for examination.

So, after pursuing diploma degree you are not eligible to appear for examination. For more information about examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in.

FIrst of all I would like to say you that if you have not completed your +2 level of examination, then you are not eligible to appear for NDA examination. One is only eligible to appear for NDA examination, if he has completed his 12th board examination from a recognized board.

However, if you have cleared your 12th board, then you might appear for NDA. The rank however depends upon the marks scored in your NDA examination. However, there are different post in different Army Wings.

After clearing your NDA with Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication, you might get a job post as a 1st officer of a;

> Lieutenant in Army.

> Flying Officer in Airforce.

> Sub-Lieutenant in Navy.

NDA exam is for officer level post in Indian Army or Air Force or Navy. You will get the same post even if you are 12th pass or diploma passed. There is no specialisation according to education.

Those who have studied maths at 10 2 level are eligible for Air Force and Navy. Those who haven't studied maths are only eligible for Indian Army.
