You can go for B.Tech in same stream through lateral entry. If you want to change field, then you won't get admission through lateral entry in that degree course. This is the most common route chosen my most of the diploma holders and some even go for job, if they can't afford to study.
For business you don't need a qualification, but still MBA is considered the best option for those who want to do business in future. For small business ideas is what matters. If you have ideas and skills, you can start a business these days. |

The best course after diploma in mechanical is B.Tech or BE in Mechanical Engineering. Go for it only if you would like to have a job in that field else you can start business right away with the knowledge you acquired in diploma. Diploma students are likely to have more practical exposure than engineering students.

Re: Which courses in diploma is best for getting a job or doing business in future?
As you have completed diploma in Mechanical Engineering so it is good for you to go for B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
After B.E./B.Tech if you want to do business then you should do MBA or Master Degree in respective field of Mechanical branch in which you want to stand up your business. If you want to do job in government sector then also you will be eligible after completing your B.E./B.Tech. In private sector also there are vast opportunities for the mechanical engineers. In short right now I advise you to start your B.E./B.Tech first and after that you will decide what you want to do either business or job and accordingly choose path. |
