Hello,

Yes you can join the airforce through SSB.
Details of SSB are as follows:

Service Selection Board - SSB Interview Procedure
5 Day Programme:

The Candidates are called through “Call Letters” to appear in 5 days Tests at SSB (Allahabad/Bhopal/Bangalore/Mysore/Varanasi/Dehradun).

4 Categories of Tests:

Screening Test
Psychological Test
Group Testing Officers (GTO) Test
Interview
Screening Test (First Day)

After the individual has filled in certain Forms and also the Bio Data forms known as “Personal Information Questionnaire” (PIQ), the candidates will undergo two types of tests as under.



Verbal and Non-Verbal Tests.
Picture Story Writing followed by Discussion of the Stories.
Note:

Once the Screening Test is over, the results are declared within 1 hour of the completion of the test. Those who clear the test are required to stay back for the next 4 days and the remaining persons are dropped back at the Railway Station for their return journey.

Psychological Test (Second day)

These tests are in four parts as under:

Thematic Apperception Test (TAT) - Commonly known as Picture Story writing.
Word Association Test (WAT)
Situation Reaction Test (SRT)
Self Description Test (SD)
Group Testing Officers (GTO) Test (Third and Fourth day)

The following tests are conducted in this caregory:

Group discussion
Group Planning Exercise (sometimes known as Military Planning Exercise)
Progressive Group Tasks
Half Group Tasks
Individual Obstacles
Group Obstacles Race
Command Task
Lecturette
Final Group Task
Interview: (Held during afternoon/evening hours on 2nd/3rd/4th day)

Note: Brief details of these tests will be covered subsequently.

Board Meeting(Fifth day)

The candidates are required to appear before the complete Board of Examiners comprising of President, Dy President, all the psychologists, all the GTO’s and Technical Officer. After the Board Meeting is over, the final result is declared within ½ an hour.

Selected candidates are required to stay back for their medical examination (takes about 3 to 5 days) in the Military Hospital near by or at a different place and the remaining candidates are dropped at the Railway Station for their return journey.

Note:

Candidates appearing for the first time for a particular type of entry are paid 2nd class return journey fare from the place of their residence to the place where they have come for the interview.
Accomodation and messing are free for the entire duration of their stay while under going SSB Tests.
The Air Force candidates are required to go to a different place for medical examination on the specified date.
Air Force candidates who had applied for ‘Pilot Entry’ have to first appear in ‘Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT)’. Those who are rejected in P.A.B.T cannot re-appear in this test susequently.

You have to appear in EKT(engineering knowledge test), then after selection you will get chance for SSB.

You can apply in Indian air force through EKT: Engineering Knowledge Test. It is a test which is organised for the entry in their technical flying wing. Their eligibility is also an engineer. Go for it, This exam is likely to be held in the month of october.

You can surely join IAF it is not important to give cds exam u can also go via ssc or via fast track selection it is going on nowadays so check it out on their website.

yes after BE you may join into indian airforce. presently they are taking application from BE and B.tech student the last date of submission form is 9th september. complete your four year BE then you may apply for indian airforce after giving notification of recruitment by the defense.

Flying branch
Technical branch
Ground duty branch
But since you are a BE student therefore I would prefer flying brach and technical division.
For flying division you may appear in CDS exam and Flying (Pilot) Short Service Commission (For Men & women).

presently there is no recruitment notice.but you visit the website twice in a week.

BE student can a join the Indian airforce both in Technical and non- technical branches.
At present time the notification for CDS exam is released.
You can beter appear for CDS exam which is conducted by upsc each year twice

There are different way to enter into IAF, but firstly you need to check out at what level.
10+2 level
graduate level
engineering level
post graduate level

For engineering level you can get entry through four ways
CDS,
UES (University entry scheme),
NCC,
SSC (short service commission)

i am persuing B.E.student(2010-11).I want to join airforce .But my problem is that i have not done 12th(physics math)

Yes you can join Air Force after your BE in technical field as Technical officer and it is for both male and female.
These are the field for engineer in Air Force

Yes there are many options for a B.Tech graduate to join armed force(airforce).

To join airforce you can adopt one of these options:--

CDS;--this exam will be conducted by upsc and depend on your rank you will be provide different field of armed force i.e army,airforce,navy.

UES:--University entry scheme..for that you need to write entrance exam which is conducted by airforce it self.You can form from the website www.airforce.nic.in

SSB:--For this also you need to clear written exam conducted by airforce.(www.airforce.nic.in)

Tip:--just keep checking employment newspaper as they publish about all these exam in their weekly paper.

I am glad to say that you can join IAF when you are in final year through
UES (unversity entry scheme) pc For men only.
The age limit is 18 to 28 years and minimum persentage required 60%.

advertigment is scheduled in Feb only.

After completion of BE you can join IFA throgh CDSE (pc for men only),The age limit 19 to 23 year

advertigment is scheduled in April and September only.

Good to hear from you that you are interested in the Air force.There are various ways to join in the Air force academy like:-

CDS:-This exam is conducted by the UPSC board for undergraduate students from 12th PCM background and then U.G in Maths related subjects
like B.tech,B.sc..etc.

SSB:-You have to apply for this examination along with your xerox copies of the Education certificates of 10th,12th and U.G level.

You can even go through the IAF Airmen Technical Trade Examination conducted by the UPSC board which is an exam conducted by the UPSC board.the eligibility for this examination is just 12th from PCM background.

ya surely you can join, but there are few conditions , you shoul be having 60 % in agg. you can check all the latest defence openings in freshersworld.com
after entering the site there will ba a defence link. you have to click there ang check criterion. rt now an opening is there for airforce. last date is 22 feb 2011

Its good that you are doing B.E.Well you can go for CDS exam after the completion of B.E.You must have studied Maths and physics in your 10+2 and a graduate certificate or equivalent to it.

Yes you can join air force.The eligibility criteria is that you must have studied maths and physics in 10+2 and have pass certificate in your degree or equivalent certificate.If you fulfill all these criteria than you are eligible.

Of course you can join the Indian Air force after completing your B.E graduation course.The most common exam conducted to get into Indian Air Force as an Officer is the CDS examination conducted by the UPSC board.Through this exam you can get in through posts of Officers.

The other examinations conducted by the UPSC is the Airmen Examination.But your B.tech degree may not help you hare since a candidate even from 12th and who have passed matriculation can go through these examination.The CDS examination is conducted twice in a year.You can get the notification details in the below link
