Dear friend,
yes, maths is a compulsory paper for doing course in BCA. for BCA math plays a very important role.there are many mathematical calculation in BCA subjects. but if your maths is weak or you don't like maths at all then don't worry. there are some courses which you can do without maths like DCA,DOEAC(A,B,C levels) etc. you can do these courses from NIIFT. all the best. |

Mathematics in 12th class is foremost eligibility criterian for admission in BCA course. One can not take admission in BCA course without having maths subject in his 12th class. So you cant apply in BCA course .
At now , you may try for DOEACC society's O level course which is also from the computer line. |

hii
maths a compulsory subject for BCA courses In general maths is not required as a compulsory subjects for bca as many universities allow students from commerce and even arts to do bca...but one more thing you need to be careful about is if u want to pursue mca....because for some university(take for ex pune) for doing bca maths is not compulsory in +2 but for doing mca you should have maths as a subject in +2....you haven't specified from where do u want to do your bca course...provide that so as to facilitate more.... good luck. |

no dude it is not necessary even some university offers bca for commerce and art students too.
but it is good having maths backgroud since the basic reason behind taking bca is mca after that and mca requires prior knowledge of maths |

It is possible to join BCA without having Mathematics as one of the subject in 10+2.
But a candidate can not join MCA without having Mathematics at 10+2. A candidate must have Mathematics as one of the subject in 10+2 in order to join MCA. I don't know why you are that much interested in BCA without going through Mathematics at 10+2. Even if you join BCA, you will struggle a lot unless you put hard efforts and to adopt to the subject. What i would suggest you is to choose the graduation course with respect to your 10+2 background or any other course which you have more interest other than BCA. Without having the basics in Mathemaics, BCA will be difficult and ultimately you are not eligible for MCA. |

Yes you can do BCA without having math in +2 level but try to take maths subject in BCA course as it will be compulsory if you going to do MCA..as maths should be there either in graduation level or +2 level....
and now onwards there will be change in criteria i.e students need not have Certificate in Computing (CIC) to get admission into BCA and MCA courses offered by IGNOU. Some of the best university for BCA are symbiosis mdu university and Bharati Vidyapeeth |
