Re: MBA or MSc. after BSc Biotechnology (Honors) ?
hii
MBA or MSc. after BSc Biotechnology (Honors) M Sc Biotechnology after B Sc is a good option. You can be well verse in your domain. At the same time, in India I don't think you can start your career with your dream salary. of course it is a good industry, but as of now it is not developed fully. Very few companies are available in India and openings are also very limited. MBA- a good employee who had passionate about business can take. You may not get a start with your domain, but you can come back to this. good luck. |

Re: MBA or MSc. after BSc Biotechnology (Honors) ?
You better to go for MBA,it prepares you for management positions within the technology industry. A master’s in Biotech does not teach you more than you learned during your under graduation program. An MBA will teach you concepts that will make you versatile. You don’t even have to work within technology. You could move into Finance, Marketing, Accounting. An MBA makes you much more marketable.
Finally, I advise you to manage your expectations properly. Everyone has to start from the bottom and work their way up. You might not get the huge earnings you are looking forward to right away whether you go for an MBA or MS Biotech. You will still have to work your way up but with an MBA, you have more options and it may help you rise quicker. I hope this helps. good luck to you! |

Re: MBA or MSc. after BSc Biotechnology (Honors) ?
dear friend,
It is totally depends on personal interest , what you want to do in future. As you have complete your B.Sc in biotechnology, then you will definitely get a huge job opportunity after completion of M.Sc in same field. After completion of your post graduate course in biotechnology you can get a job in the fields like- Drug and pharmaceutical research Public funded laboratories Chemicals Environment control Waste management Energy Food processing & Bio-processing industries. You can also go for MBA course. It is in huge demand now a days.. After completion of MBA , you can get a job with much better designation and better salary. So, you can go for any of them. But , I will suggest you to go for a field in which you have more interest. All the best. |

Re: MBA or MSc. after BSc Biotechnology (Honors) ?
Hi dear,
the choice of specialisation depends on your personality, talent and skills. So, go with what you like, if you wish a career working on further research oriented work in a biotech related industries, then go for M.sc and You can later do PhD for higher research studies and better profile. if you wish to handle management work looking after many aspects of business in a biotech firm, marketing, sales, hr, finance, operations etc. then go for MBA. Thanks |

Re: MBA or MSc. after BSc Biotechnology (Honors) ?
Well .......I dont think MBA after BSc.Biotechnology (hons.) in the same field will be very much rewarding. If you are keen to do MBA then pls go for the general course as it has more options in the market then MBA in biotechnology. And similarly if you heve great interst in this field, then pursue MSc. it will be more rewarding then MBA in this field.
So, i would suggest you to give yourself some time to understand the prospects of this courses before getting into it. |

Re: MBA or MSc. after BSc Biotechnology (Honors) ?
Dear Friend,
MBA Stands for Master in Business Administration whereas MSC stands for Master in Science. As you are currently pursuing B.Sc in Biotechnology , then as far as i am concerned , it will be best for you to go for MSc in Biotechnology rather than choosing MBA after BSc in Biotechnology. this is because Biotechnology is a very good field and if you complete your MSC in Biotechnology , then your chances will become high to get a good job. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |
