my dear,
their are lots of branches in engineering but their is nothing about the best.
Best is dependent on your choice and your interest in the branch.
Branches like:
ECE
Mechanical engineering
civil engineering
computer science engineering
etc.
every department has jobs.

Todays world there are lots of engineers who struggle daily merely for a job, the only thing is when you get into a college get good percentage!
Of all branches mechanical is best , reason behind it is what you've to do is understand the process going on and write about it . Which isnot at all cranky!
When it comes to cse you need to apply some logic to get a solution!!that becomes a little difficult for dumbs like me! it also includes hardware material which is quite a lot boring.
Chemical involves "rattna" work i.e just mugging up whole syllabus!
IT is better as it involves all software relatyed stuff which is quite interesting!
Elecrtical thou is a core trade of engineering,has lost its value with the incoming of more and more iT!

When you talk about scope civil branch , i'am sure it will the most importance in coming years! You can even start your own construction business after graduation! but the problem is you have to work a lot harder , when all your friends are at eh talkies you'll have to bang your head with you drafter!!

Choose whats best for you.!

Boss there is no as such best trade in engineering discipline!
Every branch has almost equal dificulties and provides similar options later on!

If u ask me i would say mechanical because i'm personally one..and my interests lies in it!

Try to find what you like..not what others say!

hey dear friend ,
don't ponder over responce from anybody .i would just suggest that some can guide u well but some can't . i just want's to tell u that u should be master of ur own .look upon ur interest and jump into it .forgetting any thing . all branch are good .
moreover in matter of income .i can just tell u that if u have interest in somthing and willingness to do ,them u can do any thing but if u have mastery over it that will be ur bonus thus under that condition u can get anything from nothing .

so better choose branch of ur interest .

It all depends on ur choice
in coming days its civil which has best scope in respect to others
rest depends on ur choice

in terms of market demand mechanical is the leading branch followed by ece .
in the current senerio the demand for comp sci. has reduced due to world economic slow down . hence i suggest mechanical branch.

Dear friends,
Civil engineering with specialisation in structural has very good scope. This is because there are lots of infrastructure that needs to be developed and people will always need new houses to live in.

Electronics, Instrumentation and Computer Science also has a very high scope.

But, for girls it will be better to go for Computer science, IT or electronics. Civil requires lot on site work which most girls would like to avoid.

we have so many branches for engineering and each branc provides spclsd course in its field but the best branc os computer science which is evergreen

hey friend your interest is the major factor in stream taking but if you really want suggestion take production and industrial management from well versed institute like bit sindri or iit and apply for gate this gives you chance in management sector too only after completion of b.tech ........

First of all if you are interested in government services then you can take either ECE or chemical.
But if you are interested in software courses then CSE and IT is the best.
and if you are interested in mechanical then there is good scope as it is progressing very fast.

there is nothing like you cannot do.
do any engg.,and any types of vocational courses.

Dear Aspirant,
Please note that there are various factors upon which any engineering branch is selected. Among all these factors you have to weigh your priority and select the appropriate one.
Following are the factors that should be kept in mind before selection of engineering branch:

1. Your area of interest
2. Scope of that branch in coming few years
3. Nature of job available in that branch in private sector India as well as abroad
4. Scope in top indian PSUs for that branch
5. Degree of toughness in academic syllabus of that branch

• Now if your interest is more in mathematics and electromagnetics than you should definitely go for electrical engineering. If your area of interest is automobiles or thermodynamics or maths with kinematics you should go for mechanical engineering. If your area of interest is more towards logical programming and software you should go for IT or computer.If you are more towards chemistry of polymers or inorganic extractions you should go for chemical engineering.
• Now as far as scope in coming few years is concerned Electrical can beat any branch as there is geniuine shortage of power everywhere and we are struggling to meet the requirement. Mechanical is evergreen branch with no fluctuation in scope.Computer and and chemical are fluctuating with time cannot do any reliable predictions about their scope.
• As far as nature of job available in India and abroad, please note that in India design related white as well as blue colar jobs are available in electrical mechanical (In India as well as abroad) and computer but not in chemical. Chemical scope in india is mainly in operation & maintainence.Financially computers can fetch you more money than any other branch in india as well as abroad.
• Af far as indian PSUs are considered please note that electrical and mechanical intake in navratan labelled Indian PSUs. Chemical and computers have restricted intake at selected PSUs.
• Academically electrical is toughest as lot of mental labour is required and mechanical is physically tiring. Chemical and computers are quantitative in nature. The content of syllabus is very large but not difficult to master.

Now you can make a selection based on the above facts.

I think CS and EC are the best branches and further it depends on your intrest also.

Yes....CS has good scope.Last year due to recession problem, Computer/IT industry went down and right now the recessio problem came to end . All IT companies are recruiting CS/ECE and even EEE students in campus placement. In colleges, placements in IT/CS department will always be higher when compared to Electrical and other departments. As per Anna University Counselling, Computer Science Dept is given the second highest preference next to ECE. So, you can chose CS without fear...All the best!!!!

For girls, its better to chose Computer Science/IT dept so that they can be exposed to Software industry and enhance their knowledge in implementation of programmes/ computer languages. Yes.....All Electrical students ie(eee) will have Electronic Circuits, Digital and Logic Circuits,Power Electronics and some more electronic related subjects which makes Electronic companies to recruit Electrical students. Its one of the advantages for EEE students. Electrical Students can apply only if Electronics is mentioned and cant apply for Communication side. ie Electronics and Communication. Various colleges have Electronics as separate department whereas the same differs as Electronics & Communication in other colleges. Hope you are clear now..

Presently, ECE(Electronics&Communication Engineering) is in higher demand followed by Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering. So, instead of Civil, you can prefer CS itself which has good scope in future. Even if you want to take ECE, you can. Nowadays irrespective of electrical,electronic departments, all are recruited in CS/IT industry. Better take CS and enter IT field. All the best!!!!!!!!!

there is no such thing that one stream is good than the other stream,but the choice of the good and bad is different for different peoples,so i will suggest you not to think of the best bust think in which you can do the best.

I dont think that mechanical engineers have to do much physical work in their jobs and It is very good field as per jobs opportunities in Govt. as well as private sector. You can choose a job as per your convenience. But girls prefer EC though The only problem you may face is that there wont be many girls in your class which I dont think should matter

I think EC will be better since it will provides you govt. job which is comfortable and a lot better than private one. I think its scope after 4 yeas will not be much different. It has better job opportunities so go for it.

i m giving scope of each trade u can decide thn urself

ece is a little tough but a very good branch
if u get a placement in a core co. thn u hav found gold
cse n it are good but if recession comes back thn u may face prob

mechanical yes its true its a "sadabahar" branch ie no effect of any recession over it
chemical branch gives placement only frm good cllgs
its scope is limited

i can say mechanical is the best because its a ever green field... everything runs moves with mechanics........ there is nothing on which mechanics is there so mechanical engineering is the best.......... even aeronautical is best........
