Re: Which engineering branch is best?
hello friend,
first off you should decide your weak subjects and strong subjects, if you are strong in chemistry go for chemical if you are strong in physics (electrostats, dynamics) go for ece if you strong in thermodynamics (physics) go for mechanical if you like programming then go for cse or it from placement point of view ece, mechanical, cse are better than other 2 |

Re: Which engineering branch is best?
Good question.
Now a days some of the students facing these type of problems. I will tell you that which branch is best. There are many branches in engineering CSE(computer science and engineering):-This branch is mostly depend on software field means you have to study computer courses.now a days many jobs are available in software field. ECE(electrical communication engineering):-This is based on electrical field.many peoples try to take this branch first. EEE(electrical electronics engineering):-this is also based on electrical field MECH(mechanical engineering):-this is involved in core field.many jobs available in this field.you have to study about engines, machines, etc. IT(information technology):-this is also based on software field.it is mostly relevant to cse branch CIVIL(civil engineering):-demand is going to this branch.because students who have complete thier studies in civil are going to job.but remember one thing that you have to hardwork in this branch.jobs are also difficult. "select good branch which is suitable, easy and interest to you" all the best. |

Re: Which engineering branch is best?
The best engineering streams are:
ECE,ME,EE and CHE. The best among the best is ,according to me,Electrical engineering as it has got enough demand in present market as well as its scope in future is the widest among all. |

Re: Which engineering branch is best?
first of all I want to u congrats for 73%.Now I want to tell u that u shuld give more preference to your choice.I want to tell u a little bit about various branches of engineering.....
1.[/B]Computer Engineering: If you want to do something new in computer and if u take interest in mathematics and logic making skills then go for this branch. 2.Electrical & Electronics: Have you ever open your switch board and repair it? If you are interested in sensors & transistor and functioning of your home electrical appliances then go for this. 3.Mechanical & production Engineering: If you are intersted in bike and cars design and making some new mechanism. This branch require a real hard work. Now a days there are a lot of job opportunity. 4. Civil Engineering: If you are interested in building making then this branch is for you. There are a lot of opportunity in this sector. |

I would say that this will be a great move for your career. We often see students are mostly interested in the electronic or mechanical engineering these days but very few choose the other fields of engineering. As per the present scenario, there is a huge demand for civil engineers. There is rapid infrastructural development throughout India that has influenced the demand for civil engineers. Expansion in the field of railways, power sectors, malls etc. has increased the job opportunity for civil engineers in this country and the expansion will definitely continue for a longer period of time. Along with it, the development policies of indian government has been providing employement to civil engineers since last few years and there is a scope of growth for the same. So, we can say that the golden period of civil engineers has already started. |

Hi, Good that you hold 80% in PCM.Considering the current opportunity scenario, I feel, ECE to be better than Chemical. I am not saying that Chemical Engineering has less scope, I answered based on your dilemma. ECE engineers can also opt for IT field. Thats the plus thing. |

Re: Which engineering branch is best?
Hi, This question sounds awkward. Civil and Mechanical engineers always have privailing opportunities irrespective of the time. Civil Engineers always have the same construction and destruction opportunities which is meant for them. And which will never end.So no worries. |

Hi, All these courses are greatly preferred considering future ahead. But, If to be specific, ECE, then EEE is most preffered than CSE. Because these two courses have broader perspective when comparing to CSE. But again, the decision needs deeper look on your Interest. If you are greatly interested in Computers, Then it is advisable to take CSE. Good Luck. |

Hi, Normally girls are not preffering Mechanical Engineering. But, There is no such belief that girls are not suited for mechanical engineering. They are. but they dont preffer. You can obviously choose your interest. Nowadays girls are greatly accomplishing in the fields, they are not even expected to enter,. So please dont get confused with such thoughts. Opportunities in this specialisation are always standard irrespective of Gender. Good Luck. |

Hi, I will give you a simple example on this. ECE fiddles with terms like IC chips, Telecommunication operations, diodes, cascades, CDMA, GPS etc. EEE fiddles with terms like electronic instruments, Motors, electrical functionalities, shunt, fluctuations, right and left hand rule etc. Hope so, you got some idea. |

Re: Which engineering branch is best?
Hello,
First of all congratulations on securing 73%. Well, with that much marks, you certainly have much more options available for the engineering, apart from the ones you just mentioned. Anyway, coming to the point, if you want to select a branch that may be a safe option in the coming future, then you can select the Mechanical or Electrical or the electronics branch. Chemical engg. does not really have much scope in the future, computer and IT industry as you is totally dependent on the market demand. Also as i suggested mechanical or the ece branch depending on list of your choice, then kindly note i suggested this on the basis of market demand. There is a huge demand for mechanical and electronics engineers, in the public sector apart from the private sector as well. Whereas the demand for other branches is limited much to the private sector only. But, keep on thing in mind, you can never predict the future, you may just make an assumption. So what i really suggest you is that choose a branch that you have interest in, the most.BEcause if you happen to choose mechanical on the basis of my suggestion, then it may so happen that you maybe a person interested in the field of computer, but selected mechanical on the basis of market demand, and hence may not be able to give in your 100% effort for the same. Therefore, Listen to your heart but follow your mind. Choose wisely, its after all a question of your future. Good Luck..!! |

according to me ece branch is the best as it ensures you to find a job after the completion of your engg carrier.and also it is the most demanding stream right now in the present days. |

Re: Which engineering branch is best?
Hello,
There are mainly five core branches in engineering 1.computer science and engineering 2.Electronics &communication engineering 3.mechanical engineering 4.civil engineering 5.Information technology I suggest you must go for mechanical or electrical because these branches has many scopes in private as well as government jobs. But the choice is yours. It totally depends on your field of interest. so choose which you have interest. good luck. |

it is better to choose mechanical because the scope of other branches you mentioned may go up and down but mechanical is always standard moreover government job opportunities is more in mechanical.

Re: Which engineering branch is best?
I think IT branches is best in today's scenario for the following reasons:
For IT: 1. Getting marks are easier than any subject. 2. High percentages are sure. 3. Chance of job opportunities in real world. 4. Easy subjects and project work. 5, job is fully satisfactory and software based since you will be assigned a fully AC room into which you will be sitting next to a computer and doing code making/checking work. |

I think it is best that you choose mechanical if your aim is job oriented. Mechanical branch has no dearth of vacancies and there many PSU's apart from private firms hiring mechanical engineers. Also the main advantage of mechanical engg is that you need not pursue higher studies once you get placed in a good company. Good Luck! |

carrier must be chosen according to your interest..
but you are just interested in a carrier according to its demand in the companies..i mean in jobs etc.. ece is mostly preffered by the students now-a-days..becoz of its requirement in govt. jobs..you can also opt. for civil engg. buddy |
