Re: Which engineering branch is best?
hi,
It is not possible to say which branch is best all the branch are best in one or the other way. So we can not say one branch is inferior to the other. But the number of job opportunities available every year differ from branch to branch. the fields with more job opportunity are ECE Civil, Mechanical, EEE, etc |

Re: Which engineering branch is best?
Hello friend, first of all I would like to suggest that you should not go after anybody's suggestions in this case, since its a matter related to your own future & it should be solely your own decision.ME,CSE,ETCE are such streams where you have lots of oppurtunities & market demand is really high.
Now, if you are interested mostly in Maths, you may go for ETCE; similarly if you have maximam interest in Physics, rather thermodynamics & fluid mecs,ME will be the best option.Otherwise,if you are really interested in both Maths & CS,CSE will be the better option. Hope this helps.....ALL THE BEST |

Re: Which engineering branch is best?
every branch has its own valution. so, the decesion to choose the branch is only depends pon you. this is your skill in whatever yo choose.
if you are intersted in the computer science then you choose cse but if you are intersted in another one then you surly select your best trade. this is the question of your future. civil is the best branch you also select this branch... |

Re: Which engineering branch is best?
Hi friend,
Every engineering branch has its own specialty nothing is best and nothing is worst. I can give you my suggestion of re arranging your choices as top to bottom arranged 4 branches. 1. Mechanical- mechanical always lies at first place because it is and evergreen branch and it would never make you fall. 2. IT and CSE- There is not much difference between IT and CSE branch. When you take this both you can never be caught when this field goes up and you can never be saved when the field goes down. 3. ECE - Third place i can give for ECE it would be a stable field and never goes up or down. 4. CHEMICAL- Chemical is also a good choice but i don't see many chemical engineers and many jobs. So may be after two or three yrs chemical engineers may be in demand you may get a bright future. |

Re: Which engineering branch is best?
I think ECE is the best branch. There is a lot of scope in private as well as public sector for this branch. BSNL, MTNL, VSNL, BHEL, ISRO etc. are some of the public sector fields.
Student can also easily switch to IT Field. Companies like TCS, Infosys etc. Recruit for EC engineers. So lot of scope in private sector as well. You can give IES exam conducted by UPSC with this branch. Even mechanical engineers work in collaboration with electronic engineers. For higher studies as well this branch is good. You can pursue M. Tech in VLSI, Embedded Systems, digital communication, etc. EC is basically modern Physics |

Re: Which engineering branch is best?
Friend,
Telecommunication is a separate branch of engineering but it has significant amount of computer knowledge involved. A Telecommunication engineer is not equal to Computer engineer. The scope of Telecommunication engineering is more as compared to computer engineering(CSE), but CSE offers high pay package than telecommunication. |

Re: Which engineering branch is best?
I will suggest you to go for ECE because it is the best and evergreen branch .
Now it is up to you , i I am giving you a little idea that is 1) ECE: evergreen , you can go to any industry from it , very flexible 2)ME: good but tough, you can chose mostly hardware company 3)IT: the most easiest stream, but can choose only software |

ECE is the best branch currently as it has a wide scope and ample amount of job opportunities..so u can easily make a good carrier in it..it has many sub branches in it like Communications-the ever spreading field.. VLSI Electronics.. then i would prefer CSE..as it covers much more topics than IT and has a good job opportunity.. then Mechanical Chemical IT-because IT sector is falling down in india with every passing day.. hope this helps.. |

Re: Which engineering branch is best?
Mechanical is the best branch according to my opinion , because it is a mother trade and the future opportunities with mechanical is so good . Because of it is a mother trade you are going to have more options with mechanical to work in your core companies .
But above all , I thin ask yourself first "In which you are interested ?" . Thank you |

Re: Which engineering branch is best?
dear friend,
Every engineering branch is good... The branches mentioned by you has bright future prospect.. Now, the main thing is in which you want to go.. You should go for that field... Now it comes to your capability , how mush talent you have to capture things as quick as possible, how much interest you have to gather more knowledge, How much concept you have on that field... These are the important things.. So, It does not matter , you are going for which stream, but it is matters that how you will perform on that field.. If you perform well on that field then you will definitely get a good job after completion of your B.tech.. All the best.. |

Re: Which engineering branch is best?
Hello dear
see, all branch of engineering is equally good for their job prosperity point of view. but core branch always stay a stable condition. so maximum student want this core branch like 1.Mechanical. 2.Civil. 3.Electrical. etc. but if you are interested to work in IT field rather than the core field then you must choose 1.CS. 2.ECE. 3.IT. ETC. all the best................... |

Computer science is also a very good option for you.You will get a very good job in IT sector by persuing engineering in computer science engineering. Computer and IT branches are very similar. So choose the right one and choose the one as your interst. You will surely get success. All the best |

Re: Which engineering branch is best?
Dear friend ,
It depends on your your own desire, you choose what you best , for what you have passion, I can give you little idea about the streams. IT--It's totally a computer language based stream(I am an IT engineer) ECE--It's very flexible stream you can have the option to go any sector . ME--It's basically known as mother stream, good but hard. Civil-- Mother stream hard, but good. Now it's up to you |

Re: Which engineering branch is best?
Late evening . . .
answer to your ques is really simple! choosing a branch in engg. completely depends on ur personal interest. choosing your branch against your choice n interest would be really hard at times n may lead to decrease in your % . n once ur intrest is developed n ur academic perfomance is good then u can easily get job or what type ur desired of! apart from that i would say that there s much scope in civil , mechanical , electrical and electronics and communication! i hope this info would be helpful to you ! best of luck! choose d best and do d best! |
