2011 CSAT Schedule

Civil Service Aptitude Test Or Civil Service Exam is conducted by upsc Government every year. Its having Two exam one is prelims and 2nd one is Mains(you are eligible for this Exam if and only if you clear prelims.)

For Eligibility you must be A bachelor's Degree from Recognized university. Age limits are 21 to 30 years of age.

It is having Two Exam one is Preliminary And 2nd One is Mains. If you clear Preliminary then only you are allowed to sit for Mains.

IAS exam is conducted every year by UPSC.

From this year prelim syllabus is changed and pattern are also changed but the main exam is conducted on previoous pattern.

I am sending you the changed syllabus and sample paper of CSAT which is provided on the official site, please download it, it may help you.

Upsc conducts the civil service examination every year. This year the upsc has made some changes in the exam pattern. It is indias most top most examination. One needs a very hard and intensive study to clear the exam. You needs to prepare for CSAT first and if you declared successful in it then you will eligible for next round ie mains . Upsc notifies the civil service examination 2011 in the employment news dated 19 feb to 25 feb 2011 please check it for all the relevant informations. Some important dates of examination-

National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination (I), 2011 NEW

(i) For Army Wing of National Defence Academy: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA and for 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course at Naval Academy: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination, 2011

The online application can be filled up to 25th October, 2010 till 11.59 p.m. after which the link will be disabled
Minimum academic qualifications prescribed:
(i) For IMA and OTA: Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
(ii) For Naval Academy: B.Sc. (with Physics & Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.
(iii) For Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

When i went through IAS search in google , i found that 7 - 12 standard books are recommeded to prepare for this preliminary exam. An another concern is that is an Bsc Computer Science graduate , am i eligible to write exam, please assist.
