Re: Effect of 10th class percentage in campus placement?
Hello,
For making a good career,You should atleast 60% in tenth so that you have a option to select any stream for 11th in many schools. After that you have to score atleast 60% in 12th for applying any competetive examanition. But if any colleges make their admission decision on 12 or 10th percentage then you have to score atleast 90% to get admission. As Delhi University takes admission on the basis of 12th percentage,so students who have more than 90% will get admission only. For higher studies,You have to score good in that field only for geeting a good job. Hope this'l help you. Thank You. |

Dear pal,
your 10 exam marks plays a role when you are applying for the job with 10 qualification job. But for campus placement yours mark in the your degree plays a major role rather than your 10th marks. So do not worry about your past but do your present course in a good manner so that you can be success in your life. All the best |

Re: Effect of 10th class percentage in campus placement?
Hi, Dear
Most of the well reputed industries clearly say that the students must have excellent academic records to appear in campus placement (i.e. below 60, 70 or 75 % throughout are not allowed). But, many companies are also there, which do not make such announcement. So, please do not feel sad for this. There are also some good industries which evaluate your performance on the basis of your last qualification. "Where there's a will, there's a way". All the Best for your career... Thank you |

Re: Effect of 10th class percentage in campus placement?
As a matter of fact sure its going to affect you as almost all the companies with CMM levels-3 to CMM level 5 imposes an eligibility level of 60% to 70 % at all levels of your education.
Still dont wory there are many small companies that donot impose these kind of rules.Join in any one of them.Later after getting experience you can shift to the company you desire. |

10th mark is very essential as it shows the strength of the person. If you have above 75-80% Then you are brilliant. Companies seek these type of talents. But You need to keep atleast 60% iN 10th to be elligible to sit in any private company, govt company. Best of luck |

Re: Effect of 10th class percentage in campus placement?
You have good enough percentage in 10th.But it won't help in campus placements the thing the you should have minimum 60% aggregate in all academic career for entering into campus placement.
The recruiters will consider the only the engineering percentage only. So,if you have good percentage in eng then you will have good opportunity in campus placement. So the 10th class percentage won't help you in campus placement. |

Re: Effect of 10th class percentage in campus placement?
No,it is not of huge significance..
All that matters is the ability to impress the jury and how you cope with competition around you... Campus placements mainly revolve around your B.tech degree..If you perform well in front of them..your academic record is seldom questioned.. You have a B.Tech degree in your hand..if not campus try for off campus recruitment as well..your chances of getting a job is multiplied.. |

Effect of 10th class percentage in campus placement.
Dear friend,
You have 54% in class 10th and 70% in 12th class and 74% aggregate in B.Tech. So your 10th class percentage should effect in your campus placement not much. You have a good percentage in 12th class. But you have not 75% aggregate in B.Tech. So, You face some problem in campusing. But the reputed company of IT sector want a good smart man with good personality and excellent communiction skill in english. So try to made your self like that and prepare daily for an interview. Best of luck to get a good job. |

Re: Effect of 10th class percentage in campus placement?
if you are interested in engineering course later, you can go for any Diploma course in any of Computer Sc.,Electronics & Communication,IT,Mechanical,Civil,Electrical branches etc.
For that, after completing the diploma course you have to appear Lateral Entry Engineering Test(LEET) which is a examination through which you can take admission in 2nd year or 3rd semester of BE/B.Tech engineering. Eligibility: you can take admission in the BE/BTech programs if: 1:you pass any diploma degree of minimum 3 years after 10th. 2:you are a citizen of India. otherwise, you can go for higher study means 12th,then Bachelor degree,Master degree and then Ph.D in your subject. |

Re: Effect of 10th class percentage in campus placement?
During a campus placement companies always limit some criteria these days 60% for instance does it mean people below 60% people are not incapabale of attending interviews? Though academics are important it has to be just part of the placement system not the heart of placement system.all the students have to be provided equal oppurtunities to do well. Students may have a low percentage but good knowledge on what basis are they evaluated???is it fair to discriminate or evaluate students(freshers) on this basis??

Hii ..There is no such restrictions that you have to get a minimum of 60% in B.Tech to appear in the GRE.
The minimum qualification required to appear for GRE is: >You have to pass B.tech without having any backlogs. >If you have any backlogs you are not eligible to get the seat in GRE. >Another important thing is you need a pass port .If you have a pass port then only You are eligible to write the GRE. Re: Effect of 10th class percentage in campus placement?
hi
There is an eligibility criteria for government and private sectors prescribed inorder to select the candidates for their recruitment. some basic eligibility criteria is 1.candidate shoul have graduation 2.age limit between 21-3 and 3.should have scored above 60% in 10,12 and graduation. This is the basic criteria that every notifiucation we see. so if any one dont possess the above criteria, they wont get selected for interview. you can apply for small industries and get experience then apply directly Hope this posts helps you |
