hello,

I am a B.Tech final year student in IT Branch.I got 54% in class 10th and 70% in 12th class.and I have 74% aggregate in my B.Tech.

so my question is that the 10th class percentage will affect in my campus placement.

Most of the well reputed industries clearly say that the students must have excellent academic records to appear in campus placement (i.e. below 60, 70 or 75 % throughout are not allowed). But, many companies are also there, which do not make such announcement. So, please do not feel sad for this. There are also some good industries which evaluate your performance on the basis of your last qualification.

Don,t get too worried. Most of the companies give importance to percentage from class 12th or your most current percentage. So, just chill out and prepare for your interview.

some companies make it clear that there should be excellent track record throughout like 60% in 10,+2 and b.tech.
but most of them do not put such clause for 10th level so don't get worried.

hii, see in campus placement each company set their own criteria.Generally company want first division all over,that 60(10th),60(12th),65(BE/BTECH).And last every thing is depend on the company norms n their criteria.

See, there are some big and reputed industries which keeps an eye on the 10th and 12th record but the majority of the companies will take the final result or the latest result as it clearly indicates ur capabilities.
10th and 12th record play a minor role as the main role is played by the candidate in his personal interview where he can show his qualities and intelligence.

It wont affect u.Since ur graph is always increasing from 54%, 70%, 74%.... U are showing only ur progress... So definitely it wont affect u... it will add points only

i believe 10 th mark wont be considered in most of the companies ..... try to be perform better in interviews .. it ll help you lot..... all the best .......

Most of the companies expect a good academic records..
almost all companies expect minimum of 60% in 10th and 12th exams..
but, you maintained a good result in B.tech na, they may allow you for placement.

or most of good componies such as wipro and all put 60% AS THEIR CUT OF MARK.BUT STILL YOU HAVE HOPE

I think in today;s competetive world the only most valueable think is 'TALENT'

If you have that then nothing can hinder in your path to success.

in some of the companies they assess candidate from his over all marks scored in acedimics....
but u seem to have improved a lot fron 10 th std....so that factor will definately impress the managers.......

recently i attended TCS
the eligibility criteria was
10-60%
12-60%
graduation-60%

Don' t worry about that.
Some of the companies clearly set their criteria as 60% and above from 10th to ug.

But there are also companies that mind the marks from 12th.
try for that companies.

see you need to have good score in your academic to get placed in a reputed company but nowadays some companies do expect percentages above 70% and some dont specify it so dont worry you will surely get placed in a good company. All the best.

company's do take note of tenth 10 marks ,i recently suffered because of it

10th and 12th marks are only acriteria to sit in campus plasement but major role for your placement are your communication skills,you behaviour and moreover your PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE.

i have same condition as you...and i was not eligible to sit in companies like INFOSYS,SATYAM,ACCENTURE,L&T INFOTECH ...so u will suffer little bit...but not every company need throughout first class.so prepare for them..good luck

dont worry most of the companies wants a good ,hardworking ,intelligent, and a person who have all qualities. as such there is no chances of involvement of any record from mamy 10th std

some companies check 10th and 12th percentage but most of the companies focuses on the performance, aggregate percentage... and as your graph goes up so don't worry. there wouldn't be any trouble in placements

yes,it can effect your campus placement because every company has its own placement criteria.

Don't worry your selection will not be affected by your % in 10th exams. As mainly 10th % is taken into account for DOB purpose, main emphasis is paid on 12th % and your performance in B.Tech. So don't worry

yes it affects a lot,because i am a NITian and i tell you that till now more than 40 companies have visited our campus for placements and alomost all of them have one of the criteria as:

60% marks in 10th and 12th

so if you dont have that ,then you may not be allowed to sit in many companies

tcs ,wipro, infosis all leading companies assign a minimum criteria of 60 % in 10th & 12th so this percentage might be trouble creating in regards of placement....

no your 10th marksheet will not affect your campus selection they may ask you question about low percentage but its ok dont worry

only for some company you will not be allowed to sit as they ask candidates to show a continuous first divison right from class x, but most dont consider it and just see how is your knowledge and grades in your graduation.....so dont worry, be happy

i think 10th class marks are not affected for campus placement. they will ask only 12th class or graduation based marks for campus placements. dont worry just apply.

it's essential requirement in IT sector reputated companies to secure 60% so it might be troublesome......i am also sitting in placement as being 56 % i am non criterian for infosys and tcs wipro allows 50% .....

10th class percentage in campus placement ..it gives hardly effect in the field of private companies ..because most of the software companies want the good percentage in 10th as well as in 12th class...they mostly want the percentage about 60%......and some companies ask for 70% or above also..

i dont think so, the 10th classs percentage will effect the campus placement. i think you should have a guts and ability and good marks in graduation level.

ther is no effect of 10th class percentage in campus recriutment but you must fullfill the eligiblity criteria of the concerned company. the only affect is that the interviewer may ask the reason of low percentage & that reason must be trustfull and true

it does not have much effect .i saw that u have made agud improvement from 10th till be .sp that is agud sign .just keep a positive attitude towards life and u will get a gud result.all the best for ur future ok

10th marks are only yr stepping stones to face more competitiveness later
yr marks are no where goin to become yr problem in near fututre..it is yr 12th marks which are actually important n more important yr attitude!!!!

hi now a days percentage is considered less as compare to knowledge what we have ......though you have good academic records .......10th marks is not considered mainly they will see 12 th marks for eligibility ok.try ur level best to aquire knowledge

this is a single example most of the companies like bhel ntpc tcs reliance hp and many more ask 60% or 75% in class 10 as well as 12 thus it matters a lot in campus placement

no effects just answer the interview questions very confidenly....improve your technical and logical section...

apply for small software companies,,,
improve your work experience
then try for the bigger ones like TCS,INFOSYS,IFLEX-SOL.
IF NOT THEN TRY FOR master degree like M TECH & MBA..

10th classs results hardly affect the campus placements..so u d need not to worry

it depend upon the companies policy.if i would consider 10th class marks then it would be a little diffcult for you. but if it consider 12th class marks then it would be a nice chance for you to get a healthy job.
most of the companies consider 12th class marks so don't be worry. from 2011 on words 10th will become optional so companies will consider only 12th class marks.

..i am not allowed to sit for campus placement except in accenture.. even shit companies looks for 10th %.. some companies are so shit that they look for 80% in 10th and 12th but btech 60% ( what the hack!)..
iin such case 2 ways are thr..1) either try offcampus (remember here competition is 1 : 25 )
2) go for mba,mtech (but here ur college should be under top 40)..
