Most of the companies accept 60% of marks in 10th,12th and B.Tech, but still there are some companies demand for 70%, last month we had NOKIA SIEMENS NETWORKS in our campus, they asked 70% in 10th,12th and B.Tech... most of the service oriented companies like TCS, Accenture, Satyam etc will have mark limit as 60%, companies which are product oriented like Microsoft, Google, Nokia do see marks above 70%.... ALL THE BEST.... |

Re: Effect of 10th class percentage in campus placement?
dear friend,
see there will be great problem you will face in placement.Because maximum company wants 60 % through about means 10 th, 12 th and B.Tech. Although you have a good percentage in 12 th and B.Tech. but you a poor percentage in 10 th. Don't worry there are some company like Poornam Private Ltd which only wants B.Tech result. so good luck... |

Re: Effect of 10th class percentage in campus placement?
Most of the top MNC companies do ask for your 10th and 12th marks, you must have 60 % above to be eligible to attend the companies interview but still there are many small companies which recruits students based on their performance and not with marks, you can join those companies and then jump into big companies with good experience..

Re: Effect of 10th class percentage in campus placement?
During campus placement some companies asks for consistency performance
and equally good percentage in 10th std also. So it may affect your placement in big companies. But some companies may just expect percentage from 12th and colleges only. So be confident. |

Re: Effect of 10th class percentage in campus placement?
No your 10th marks will never ever effect your campus placement.
Most of the reputed companies demands 12th marks for the eligibility only and they mainly emphasize on graduation percentage. So do not bother about your 10th marks. You have a good score in 12th and you are eligible for all campus recruitment. Best of luck. |

Re: Effect of 10th class percentage in campus placement?
I donn't think so because in most of the best company has the criteria for placement is 50% to 60% in Xth.
here is one more thing that a company select any candidate but after that they got your Xth marks are less then requirement.......... They can compromise because they wank performance not marks...... |

Re: Effect of 10th class percentage in campus placement?
Yes. Definitely 10th class percentage will have effect in the campus placements.
Because for the campus placements of the most of the top MNCs, they require career 60 people. Career 60 means the candidates who have secured minimum of 60% or above throughout their career right from their 10 th to their highest level of qualification. As you have secured just 54% in your 10th class, you will not come under that category.. So you will not be eligible for the campus placements of top companies like TCS, Infosys etc. Don't worry. There are some companies which you can join on the basis of your subject knowledge |

Re: Effect of 10th class percentage in campus placement?
Percentage requirement depends from company to company, but most of the company will ask 60% throughout your education qualification.
But i think in campus placement, they will not consider that much for previous course, they might be seeing present qualification percentage,so don't worry,go to placement drive with confidence, everything will be fine. |

My friend, dont get upset on your past results as there are many companies which look for your resent performance as compared to your past one but if you are thinking of getting into infosys or wipro then i must identify that you are far off the league but as we all say don't loose hope ,all you got to do is work harder ,improve your current score and face the interview passionately .

Re: Effect of 10th class percentage in campus placement?
hi,
your 10th mark are considered only till you get into +1 or a diploma with that mark.after that they won't be considered at all . For getting placed into a company your talent matters a lot than your marks. Marks are only initial filters . so do not worry about your marks. develop your skills |

Re: Effect of 10th class percentage in campus placement?
10th class percentage do not have much consideration now a days if you go for the higher studies like graduation or masters degree.
Most of the industries and MNC's ask for your academic track at college or may be your 12th board result. So it does not have much effect on campus placement. So, don't worry |

Re: Effect of 10th class percentage in campus placement?
Hey hemraj, you could use your marks as a way to show your employers your ability to achieve when you've decided to do something,YOUR GRIT ...You could convince them by saying that you never gave up hope and that has helped you score better in your 12th which inturn insured phenomenal success in your B.Tech Score. Also,i'd like to suggest that these days any one can score well but only those with skills like knowing FOREIGN(and fluent local obviously) languages make it to the top...Skills like sports also make a diiference to how easily you can make it to the top.Along with it some amount of team managment and ability to meet given deadlines and dedication towards exceeding your employer's expectations certainly play a role..All in all,i'd like to suggest that your 10th marks have to some extent provided you with a hidden advantage which if used cleverly can guarantee you THE top JOB
