I find many mechanical engineering students requesting for in plant six months training. To my knowledge most of the companies either recruite from campus and then provide them training according to their needs or take trained engineers from market.
I am a mechanical engineer and have been in the industry for about 40 years and retired from the level of top management.During this period I found that there is large gap between what industry expects and what student are really aware off. To fill up this gap, I am planning to organise a 4 week condensed programme which consists of both hard core technical,factory management systems and applied skills as required by production units.
I am pretty confident that after attending to this programme ,one will be as good as having a year's experience in industry, and enhance his employablit.The concept is based on finishing school model.The programme is to be conducted at Ghaziabad.
