After completion of BSc degree in IHM am I eligible to sit for IAS exam?
hey i m a hotel management student persuing my Bsc degree in IHM,
which is affiliated to the NCHMCT and IGNOU, newdelhi after completion of my course can i eligible for sitting in ias exam....? if yes what ll be my subject ..?? |

No, u r not able to give entrance of IAS bcos for that u must have ur degree in your hand and age should be 23-20 years.

Yes you will be eligible after completing your B.sc.
Eligibility Criteria for IAS: You should have completed your graduation first in any stream from any recognized university... Final year students are also eligible for IAS. But if selected, then final years students have to show their certificate of passing at the time of interview. So you can start preparation from now... You should have good knowledge in current affairs and social issues. [Because you need to have very strong in that] Your age should be between 21 years and 30 years. [33 years for Sc/ST] The Exam is basically divided into two parts... 1. Preliminary 2. Main In Preliminary, 2 papers are there... Each paper carry 200 marks and duration is 2 hours. In main exam you have to select the optional subjects. You can choose subjects in which you have good knowledge, no matter whether it is your course subject or. Be confident what you choose... You should those subjects in which you can score good marks. those subjects which you love to learn and have very much interest. |

If the degree is from a UGC recognised University,any graduate from any stream is eligible for Civil Services exam of UPSC. State PSC or banks or railways etc all have the same criteria regarding validity of degree. If the University is UGC recognised and also DEC(Distance Education Council) recognised for Distance learning programs, then there is no problem if
