Sir plz tell i m pursuing pg in M.I.H from gorakhpur university,am i eligible for UGC NET exam? And plz provide me also the syllabus of M.I.H for net exam, is there any difference between the courses of M.I.H or A.I.H,or both have same syllabus for net exam,sir plz tell me in detail.

Following are Eligibility Criteria for UGC NET exam-

Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by UGC is eligible for UGC NET exam.

Minimum age limit is 28 years. There is no maximum age limit for this exam.

A relaxation of upto 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/ PWD/OBC

Educational Qualification for UGC-NET

You should have acquired post graduation from any recognized Indian institution.

Age Qualification for UGC-NET

If you are appearing for JRF, your age should not be above 28 years of age.

If you are appearing only for lectureship, you need not worry aboutupper age limit. Age relaxation of 5 years will be given to SC/ST/OBC or physically disabled or women or visually handicapped.

I have done UG in ancient indian history while I am thinking of doing PG from Modern History. Will that be an issue for appearing in NET-JRF
