NDA Stands for National Defence Academy examination and NDA is conducted twice in a year by Union Public Service Commission .

If you have completed 12th standard from recognized board with science department you are applicable for NDA exam.Commerce and arts student are applicable for only Indian Army branch.Final year student are applicable for NDA exam.

NDA exam not require any kind of percentage marks in 12th standard.

following are the details and eligibility for National Defense Exam is as follow :-

The minimum qualification required for the NDA is 10+2 with physics and mathematics.
As you are a commerce student so you are not eligible for the NDA examination (physics not a subject in commerce).
But if you are determined to join the defence services then you can do your graduation first and then apply separately to the officers entries of the respective defence services.

Yes a commerce stream student can apply for NDA exam but only for Indian Army Wing.

Yes!!! You can apply for the NDA (NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY), , through which one can apply for the Indian Military Academy (IMA). As the minimum educational requirement for apply in the NDA exam is a 12th degree from a recognized college. But you can not apply for the INDIAN NAVAL ACADEMY & INDIAN AIR FORCE, because, you are a commerce student,. For apply in the INDIAN NAVAL & AIR FORCE, you must have to be a science student with the two compulsory subjects of MATHS & PHYSICS .
Also you must have to score atleast 60% in 12th.
So, you can only apply for the IMA .
Anyway , this NDA examination is conducted by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC) for twice in a year.

Yes being a Commerce stream candidate your eligible for NDA Examination...

If you see there are three academy in NDA Examination namely , Army Academy , Navy Academy , Airforce Academy Etc..

Being a Commerce stream candidate your eligible for Army Academy ... But your not eligible for Airforce/ Navy Academy.

Because only science stream candidate with Physics and Mathematics are Make eligible for Airforce and Navy Wing ..

As you're from commerce stream, you can only apply for the Indian army wing whereas a science stream student can apply for any of the three branches.
There is no criteria for the percentage in 12th, your Age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years of age.

Eligibility For Applying For NDA

National Defense Academy or NDA Exam is conducted every year by the UPSC in April and August..

A candidate can appear for the NDA Exam if he satisfies the following conditions :-

>> Candidate must be within the age limit of 16.5-19 years as on 1st January or 1st July of the year in which the candidate is appearing for the exam..

Yeah a Commerce student can apply for the NDA Exam.

The NDA Exam is conducted by UPSC and is held every year for candidate to join in defence forces of India such as:

> Indian Army

> Indian Navy

> Indian Air Force

As far concerned about the Indian Navy and Air Force you cannot join in those forces as you are not satisfying the needed education qualification for it as for joining in these forces you need to have completed +2 with Physics and Mathematics as subjects but as you have completed with a fair percentage.

But as you have completed with Commerce stream you cannot join in these forces but you can apply for joining in Indian Army as you are satisfying the education qualification for it.

The other criteria's which you need to satisfy along with the Education qualification are that the candidate appearing for the exam must be a Citizen of India

Only Unmarried male candidate is eligible for the exam and the age limit needed for the exam is 16 1/2-19 years of age.

You need to be Physically fit while appearing for the NDA Exam

Science Candidates (having Physics and Maths) can apply for all wings i.e. Army, Air Force and Navy.
