If your college is approved by Govt. of India and your degree is equivalent
to graduation of master degree then you are eligible for sure.

You fulfill the age criteria too. One's age should be 21 years as on 1st AUG 2011.

Last date for receipt of application is 21-03-2011.

The date of Preliminary exam 12-06-2011.

Definitely if your college is from any govt recognized university and you should maintain 21 years of age as on 1st august 2011..

You should pass the graduation exam or equivalent exam.

i had attached a file containing the elligibility criteria for appearing in IAS .visit and check whether you are elligible or not.

U will be eligible for IAS exam after one yr ... but remember need to be graduated in any field and age limit is 21-30 yrs.

i think you are not eligible to give the exam this year because you should be above 21 years on the day of exam,as this year the ias exam is being conducted in June i think you will be underage,

if you are pursuing degree in hotel managment from a UGC recognised unversity or college than you are eligible for IAS exam.

You are not eligible to appear this year's exam As the minimum age is 21 years.

the minimum eligibility for Civil Service exam is Graduation from a govt. recognized university. so you can give this exam. if you belong to general category then please give exam when you are fully prepared because for general there are only 4 attempts.

The information provided by you is not enough to say whether you are elligible for appearing in IAS exam or not.
for appearing in IAS you must fulfill the following criteria :
(1)age between 21-30 as on 1 st aug 2011
(2)must be a citizen of india
(3)degree equivalent to master of graduation.

if your college is approved by government of india and you are fulfilling the criteria then you are elligible.
the cost of IAS form is rs 100 and can be obtained from the post office.

You are absolutely eligible for IAS is you have a graduation degree from govt approved institute...
And also your age in between 21 to 30...

so sir/mam, I was the student of (12th) (ARTS background). my subject (Political science, Geography, English, History and Hindi). Now, I am pursuing Hotel management. it is the govt. and degree college and I am final year student. my (DOB) is 17 July 1990

well you can appear for IAS exam.The minimum criteria is a degree certificate from any renown colleges and the age limit is between 21-30.Therefore try to get good grades at least above 60% at your present course and just stay mentally and physically fit and prepare for it.you can get through it.

If your course is approve by Govt. of India...

For OBC category:- 21-33 YEAR
For ST/SC category:- 21-37 year
