Yes, graduates in any subject are eligible for IAS. Selection to civil services is done through prelims and mains exams. One can attempt prelims exam at most 4 times. Age of the applicant must be less than 30 years. Further details can be collected from the website of UPSC.

You have completed B-Tech in Automobile so you are applicable for IAS exam . IAS exam is conducted by UPSC through Civil Service Exam . Those candidate are graduate from any recognized university with any discipline are eligible for IAS exam.There is not require any kind of Percentage marks for IAS Exam. But your age should be in between 21 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule. The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years. IAS exam conduct in 3 steps like - 1)Preliminary Exam 2)Mains Exam 3)Personal Interview. Yes you are eligible if you satisfy these conditions- IAS exam is conducted by UPSC through Civil Service Exam.This exam conduct every year for recruiting IAS and IPS candidate . Those candidate are graduate from any recognized university with any discipline are eligible for IAS exam.You must have citizenship of India . You have completed graduation degree through distance mode so you are applicable for civil service exam but your degree must be recognized . Age relaxation/Age criteria:- 21 to 30 years for General category candidates 21to 33 year for OBC category candidates 21 to 35 years for SC/ST category candidates No of attempts :- 4 attempts for General category candidates. 7 attempts for Obc category candidates 14 attempts for SC/ST category candidates. Yes you can attend IAS exam after completing B.Tech in Automobile coz for this exam the minimum qualification is graduation in any stream from recognised university If you want to become an IAS OFFICER for that you have to apply civil services exam conducted by UPSC. The examination can conducted into 2 phases namely Preliminary examination Main examination Eligibility for IAS: You have to complete your Graduation from any recognized university. The name of this exam is UPSC Civil Services Exams. Below is the Eligibilty to apply for this Exam: Education: Graduation pass in any stream Age- Minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years Age relaxations is given to OBC candidates for 3 years and 5 years is given to SC/ST candidates Attempts- 4 for General candidates 7 for OBC candidates This exam is held in three stages: Prelims Mains Interview Next Prelims Exams would be held on 19th May 2013 |

Yes , you can apply for civil service examinations but you should fulfill age requirements that is a minimum of 21 and maximum of 30 by august . age relaxation in upper age is given to reserved categories .

Of course you are eligible for Indian Administrative Service. Anyone with a graduation degree is eligible for the Civil Service Examination. It could be any graduation degree like BA, B.Com, B.Sc or even B.Tech.
If you have completed Bachelor of Technology from a recognized college then you are definitely eligible for the Civil Service Examination for Indian Administrative Service. The forms for the exam are made available during the end of the year while exam is conducted in the following year. Unlike the IPS, there are no physical requirements for the Indian Administrative Service. IAS Eligibility 1. Only Indian citizens are eligible. 2. Must have graduation degree in any stream. 3. There is no percentage criteria. 4. The age limit is 21 to 30 years as on August 1 of examination year. 5. There is upto 3 years relaxation for OBC. 6. Maximum of 5 years relaxation is given to SC and ST. Exam Pattern 1. Preliminary Exam 2. Main Exam 3. Interview Attempts 1. General - 4 2. OBC - 7 3. SC/ST - There is no limit |
